90 square meters living room, bedroom, balcony, bath, kitchen and rooftop terrace to relax, be in love or just enjoy the ever changing panorama.
It is the perfect place for honeymooners, gay or straight !
Beside the living room/kitchen/bath/bedroom, there is a flat roof terrace, where you may enjoy the fantastic panorama early morning, during sunset or gaze at the stars and the moon at night.
Interaction with Guests
I am next door and you can ask me anything you want to know, or arrangements you want for dinner or tours, or just leave some laundry while you hang out at the museum or the beach.
It is peaceful and quiet. The only nightlife sounds you will hear are those every Jungle has to offer: geckos, crickets, birds, frogs, bats, roosters or dogs
It is easy to get here from the airport by tricycle. Just tell the driver to go to Santa Monica, Mitra Road, Uyuni on the hill.
It is only about 400 meters walk from my home to - what we call - the highway. There you find Multicab or Tricycle as public transport. But I can always arrange transportation, in case you want to hang another few minutes relaxed in the hammock.
Other Things to Note
No guns, no drugs, no karaoke please !
Keep things clean and do not damage anything, after all it is my home and not some Corporate Hotel.
Don't worry, be happy !
The annexe on the hillside had an incredible view of the valley below. Everything about the stay was excellent, great accomodations and a great host.
Christian was really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. He helped us with transportation arrangements for our onward journey to El Nido. He even helped us book a wonderful seafood dinner at kalui in town.
Trust his recommendations always!
Couldn't have asked for more on my first airbnb experience. My future hosts will have a lot to live up to.
Very friendly and helpful with travel information with lots of tips on good places to visit. And if you want to cook a tart you can use his oven
Staying at Christian's house was really great. The place (that Christian built up by himself) is enchanting and it's surrounded by the nature. You can enjoy a beautiful view everytime you watch outside and be waking up in the morning by the sounds of the nature. If you are searching for a place where you can relax, a bit away from the city center, this is the listing for you!
Since the first contact, Christian was a great host, the best you could hope from an Airbnb host. The communication with him was smooth and fast. He knows the country very well and he's always willing to help you in every situation, giving quick tips to enjoy the city and recommendations about daily trips around Philippines.
Hans-Christian's place is a delight and a welcome nest outside the busting city. It is ideally located to go to Honda Bay (30min), to the city centre (30min) and to the airport (45min). I did not get the chance to meet Hans but he was extremely nice and welcoming both over the phone and by email. His house staff was adorable, highly recommended.
Christians guesthouse was a perfect place to unwind after a few busy days of travel. It was a central location and getting a tricycle to nearby amenity was always cheap and easy. We didn't get to meet Christian but his house keeper and her family were always there to answer any queries. Please note that there was no hot water which didn't bother us at all as a cold shower was very refreshing after a hot day. Overall I would highly recommend the guesthouse if you are after some relaxing peace and quiet.
We absolutely loved our week staying at Christian's guesthouse. It was great to be away from the traffic, hustle bustle and the noise of downtown Puerto Princesa and stay high in the hills with a stunning rural view through to the ocean.
It does take a little longer to get into town but it's worth it. The best part was Christian's attention to giving us local knowledge and recommendations all of which we found very useful and enjoyable. In fact we think back and without this personalised support we would have found it more difficult to negotiate and find our way.
Christian is one of those rare special people who you will remember for a long time.
This is an authentic Philippines experience and it allows you to enjoy it exactly the way it is. We will never forget our stay and experience.
I am an Austrian Artist living in the Philippines for the past 30 Years, which I have traveled extensively and therefore can help and advise my visitors on how and where to go and enjoy this beautiful country.
It is my pleasure to help you arrange trips and transportation.
Once you arrive in Puerto Princesa just take a tricycle (150 Pesos) and ask the driver to bring you to Santa Monica, Mitra Road and there on the left is a sign for UYUNI ON THE HILL.
I love to care
