2BR/1BA w/ garden! in Williamsburg

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Leonard St, Brooklyn , NY 11222, United States

The Space

Enjoy your stay in NYC on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg, New York’s trendiest neighborhood! Steps from the subway, McCarren Park, and some of the hottest restaurants, shops, galleries, cafes, music venues and bars in NYC, this cozy apartment has access to a shared garden filled with rose bushes. Furnished with a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the smaller bedroom.

You'll be renting the upper half of my duplex apartment. I'll be staying in the lower half. You'll have the top half (2 bedrooms and your own bathroom) pretty much all to yourselves—I am out a lot and completely respect my guests' privacy. Sometimes I don't even see folks after check in(!), though we might end up chatting over beers in the backyard too. I'm also on hand to answer any questions you may have and help with anything you may need. It's the closest thing you can (legally) get to renting a private 2BR apartment in NYC!

--Wi-Fi & Satellite TV w/ HBO and a flat-screen TV.
--A full kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher) and all needed cooking supplies is provided for your convenience.
--Clean linens and towels are included.
--Midtown Manhattan (Rockefeller Center/Times Square) is approximately 20-30 minutes away via the G train (located around the corner), and the L train, one stop (a 5-minute ride) to Manhattan, is a short walk down Bedford Avenue, the hottest shopping street in Brooklyn.

I absolutely ADORE the neighborhood--it's a very quiet street, but the excitement begins around the corner, with some of the trendiest bars & restaurants in NYC (Heath Ledger's restaurant opened up 1.5 blocks away) and a huge gorgeous park around the corner.

  • The apt was very nice. Exactly like the pictures. We had a very nice stay. Would highly recommend it for families. Close to subway, grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants.

  • I stayed here with my husband and 21 year old daughter. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The last time I stayed in Brooklyn was at the Wythe Hotel. I much preferred G. Anna's place. I brought up TP and paper towels and kleenex but she had everything you could think of. We relaxed and watched the Oscars one night, and my son who lives in Greenpoint even had his friend come in and see how large the place was and how nicely it was furnished. Location can't be beat. My daughter and I shopped the area….Five Leaves Restaurant is close by. Will definitely stay here next time we come to visit my son. Thank you G. Anna for a wonderful stay.

  • The accomondation was as it was presented through Airbnb. It was quite cold weather when we stayed at Anna's place and the other bedroom got a bit chilly. The kitchen was good, we'll equipped. Bathroom was clean. We were group of 5 (3 adults, 1 kid, 1 infant) and we had enough room. First floor was easy acces and it was quiet neighborhood also during the weekend. Easy to find the subway to the Manhattan.

    Response from G "Anna":

Oh, no, I wish I had known that was the problem! That room can get very warm and since the weather has been so sporadic, the radiator in the small room had been turned to the off position. An easy fix—I'm so sorry I didn't know that the rooms were different temperatures or I would have fixed it for you. Apologies!

  • Annas apt was perfect for us. It was clean comfortable and affordable. If it hadnt been 10 below zero, we would have loved tha backyard! First floor made real easy access. Anna always responded to my questions immediately. Thanks anna

  • We had quite an enjoyable stay at Anna's. The accomodations were just as presented through airbnb. We were plenty warm & had no problems navigating the kitchen. Anna was a very gracious hostess & brought us plenty of towels when requested. Would definitely stay there again!

  • This is a perfect quiet place to stay in. We spent three days and it was great. The neighborhood is my favorite in brooklyn, not to close from hipsterland and not too far. Great bars and restaurants around.

  • My family has stayed one week at Anna's place and had a great time there. It's the perfect place for quiet nights between long walks in Manhattan (which is 15 min max by the subway). It's spacious for 4, a little tiny but confortable enough for 5 (with the couch open in the middle of the kitchen/livingroom), and it's definitely a great deal with a really affordable price for the area.
Greenpoint is a great neighborhood full of bars and restaurants, 10 minutes walking to the exciting Williamsburg.
Anna was really easy to contact and communicate with.

  • Anna's place couldn't be better located if you're looking for somewhere in Williamsburg. It's right at the top of McCarren Park, on the border with Greenpoint, meaning there are loads of cafes and bars within about a 10-minute walk or less, plus there's a subway stop literally around the corner on the G line. It's not the most frequent but once on the train you can be in Manhattan in about 20 minutes. The L train stop on Bedford Avenue is only 10 mins away too.

We had five staying in the apartment, which meant one sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. Despite that we never felt cramped and the garden is nice to have when the weather's good (which it was even in early October). The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, although with so many nice restaurants within walking distance we didn't use it once!

Our only gripe (and it's very minor) was with the air conditioning, which didn't seem to work particularly well. With a very large fridge kicking out a fair amount of hot air, that meant it got quite warm in the living room at night. Instead we used good old-fashioned open windows when it got hot.

However, we'd highly recommend Anna's place as somewhere to stay in Williamsburg and would visit again in a flash.

  • We loved the neighbourhood, safe, Polish and not entirely gentrified yet, and Anna's suggestion of Enid's for brunch was excellent. The flat is clean and comfortable and I'm thinking about painting my bedroom walls the same colour as hers. The corner shop is well stocked, they even carry frozen gluten free mac and cheese. Not that we bought any, it was a desperately hot and humid few days in NY. Usually I have more contact with my host because there is a problem that needs sorting, but there were no problems so just one text at the end to check out that it was ok that we were leaving later than expected and she answered that quickly. (It was ok.) The bookshelves are full of an eclectic set of books that Anna's happy for you to take out of the flat if you want reading matter for the subway or your flight home. It was a great base for a happy visit to NYC.

  • Anna's apartment is very clean and extremely well appointed with a top class range, and a brilliant fridge/freezer with ice maker, which we used a lot. There is a great range of books, and the decor is very easy to live with. We loved the Keg & Lantern pub around the corner, and we also supported a lot of the food stores in the area. The Pizza Prince and the Calexico Mexican restaurant we also liked. All the food and drinks we consumed went down well. The area is very Polish, which gives it a real character, but in the shops some of them could be very abrasive and some of them bordered on being plain ignorant.
Overall we had a ball in Greenpoint, and Anna's apartment went a long way to creating that great time.
