The main bedroom has a queen size bed and ensuite, and the two other rooms have king size beds (one bed can be split into two singles). If it's fun you're after, have a go on the Addams Family pinball machine, take one of the four* bikes for a cruise or take the long board for a wave. The property is fully fenced - so pet friendly. A port-a-cot and highchair are available on request. All linen, towels and beach towels are provided.
When you book, you book the entire house. A few days prior to you coming in, you will receive access details via this site.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction with guests is kept to a minimum; however Steve and Febe are always contactable should the need arise.
The house is a short walk (about 200 metres) to the main street with all it's shops, cafes and restaurants that lead up to the beach. It's only a block away from the weekly Farmers' Markets (every Thursday morning) and the monthly Sunday markets. The Arts Factory complex (Byron Bay brewery and pub, Day Spa and Cinema) are a short walk in the other direction. Too easy! And if you don't want to walk, hop on a bike.
Walking is the best option - or biking. There are four bikes with baskets available for guests' use. Additional bikes can be made available on request. There's car parking inside the property for two cars, and plenty outside of the property.
Other Things to Note
Please note that two night bookings incur an additional $80 cleaning fee.
This is a strictly 'no partying' house. No loud noise after 10pm or before 8am, or gatherings of people other than guests. No smoking inside the house. No pets inside the house unless pre-arranged.
Value for money and way better than the photos - 11 stars. Wow!! This home has been as beautifully modified for practical use as the 17 century French carpenters work bench - which is something to see. The long board was great fun and easy to ride. The pin ball - hours of entertainment. The hot and cold pools a real bonus.
The swinging chair on the front veranda was so comfortable - along with the beds - quality sheets and appliances. We all loved the kitchen. Aesthetically this home is awesome. The high ceiling and open spaces, fresh air, location to town and the beach, easy walking. As we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms we did not notice the guitar until just before we left ( shame), just another great extra, we had skateboards so did not need the bikes but what a great option. Steve is easy to communicate with and was so kind to share his toys - the long board in the pouring rain at 6 am was the highlight for me. For Nimrod it was the super-sized TV & couch. So along with all the great stuff to do in Byron bay I would recommend the try the flying trapeze and rock climbing at Circus Arts. Do not hastate book now this is' whereyouwanttobe'.
First time user - was impressed with the process and the communication from the owner Steve was good. Home was well presented and clean. Enjoyed our visit - house is very well located. regards Rob
We really enjoyed our girls weekend at Steve's place - location was great for the town and the beach and house is very comfortable - beds and bathrooms are great. Loved Byron - the scenery, chilled out atmosphere, food and music! Steve was available to answer any questions and we also enjoyed using the bikes. Highly recommend!
The location of this property was perfect especially at such a busy time of year, like Easter as the house is out of the craziness of the main strip. We used the bikes every day to to go to different parts of the beach and happily bypassed all the traffic in the process. Shuttle buses to Bluesfest were very close too and a lovely market only 100m away.
The house itself was very comfortable and big enough for everyone to retreat to their own little areas. Bathrooms were modern and spacious, beds were comfy. Thanks for having us.
Great location walking distance to the centre of Byron Bay and near to bike tracks. The house was very clean and the bathrooms are all new. Steve has done a great job of keeping the flavour of an old beach house while modernising the amenities. There are TVs in every room including an enormous set in the living space which should keep everyone happy on a rainy day.
Thanks Steve for a great weekend!
The location was great and we especially loved the big TV for the cricket world cup final and the pinball machine. Place was very clean and check-in and check-out was easy. Would highly recommend staying here when visiting Byron Bay.
