Frederiksberg is the cosy ad green oasis in Copenhagen and one of the city's most popular residential areas. It is within short reach of the city centre by bike or public transport, yet it is shield from the noise of the city centre.
I love to go out in the different neighborhoods of Copenhagen. Below is a list of some of my favourite places
Saigon Quan (autenthic little (cheap) pricewinning Vietnamese restaurant – awesome Pho soup)
Sticks & Sushi (great place and atmosphere, great sushi and moderate prices – good idea to book a table)
Aroii (thai restaurant – the green curry is to die for. Table reservation in not possible so try not to arrive at 7 clock, where the small place probably will be filled. Be aware it closes already at 22) (website hidden), Guldbergsgade 23, 2200 Copenhagen N, ph(phone number hidden)
Oysters and grill (great seafood – try “Fruits of the sea”, (website hidden) Sjællandsgade 1B 2200 København N, ph(phone number hidden)
SMAG (take away place with really nice salad and sandwiches) (website hidden), Fælledvej 25, 2200 København N
Tapasfabrikken (nice tapas reastaurant) (website hidden) Blågårdsgade 29, 2200 København N, ph(phone number hidden)
Manfreds,(nice place for brunch, lunch or just a snack and a glass of wine) (website hidden). Jægersborggade 40, 2200 København, ph(phone number hidden)
Kiin Kiin (thai michelin restaurant – should be amazing, but of course also quite costly, in addition booking is mandatory) (website hidden), Guldbergsgade 21, 2200 København, ph(phone number hidden)
Lyst (nice relaxed brunch or lunch place) Jægersborggade 56, 2200 København N.
City center/Copenhagen K/Christianshavn
Torvehallerne (Really nice markedplace with many different small eating places – (bread, salat, cake, coffe, sandwich, tapas, sushi, paleo food, pizza)
MASH (great steakhouse in cool atmosphere)
L’education Nationale (cute little French café/restaurant – great lunch place)
Pastis (lovely little french place - one of my favorite restaurants in the city)
The Standard (3 restaurants in one: Almanak, Veranda and The Standard (ive tried Veranda – really nice Indian cusine, but only one menu available for 500 dkk, so it isn’t a cheap place). The Standard also have a really nice jazz club with live jazz 18.30 and 20.20 six days a week, definitely recomendable)
Sticks and sushi (roof top restaurant)
Cocks and cows (nice burgerbar)
NOMA (won “best restaurant in the world” in 2012/2013 – 2600 dkk per person for menu + wine menu)
Amass (next big thing…)
Mother in Kødbyen (the meatdistrict)
Kul (new upcoming restaurant with good reviews)
Dyrehaven (great for breakfast and lunch)
Bang&Jensen (café with nice relaxed food in cool Vesterbro atmosphere)
Canteen (cute place, great brunch – line can happen)
KHClausen (my favorite burger bar in town)
Malbech (vine- & tapas bar)
Mikkeller either at Nørrebro og Vesterbro (beerbar very close to the apartment)
Borgerkroen (for a local, not fancy place to have a beer in the bottle with friends)
Fortunen (also possible to eat)
Ruby (great but also pricy cocktail place. Aproximately 100 dkk a cocktail)
Christiania (experience the 70’s)
The little mermaid
Louisiana (my favorite museum)
Arken (my second favorit museum :-))
Østeranlæg (nice park)
Kongens have (popular park in inner city)
My flat is 5 mins from Frederiksberg Metro Stations, which will take you to the city centre in 5 mins and to the airport in approx 20 mins. Bus 2A runs next to my block and can also trasport you to the city centre in approx 10 mins.
No pets, no smoking and no parties please.
David was a great and friendly host. He greeted us at the apartment at appointed time. His apartment was exactly as nice as we could see/read from the photos/ description. The neighbourhood was perfect- quiet, although full of cafés and restaurants. It is easy to take the bus or metro down town.
A really clean and tidy apartment, in a great location. Would highly recommend to stay here if your visiting Copenhagen!
David's apartment is a wonderful and perfectly equipped apartment. It has everything you need and is located close to metro in great Frederiksberg. David was a great host and we would definitely recommend him.
