The house interior has changed since the photos were taken two years ago. We have since had a child and you will see some kid stuff around the house (toy box, toddler bed in second bedroom, baby cot in Master bedroom) but it is still a great space and this shouldn't make your experience less comfortable in any way.

Sleeps 4 (advised) to 6 (2 double bedrooms and a very comfortable king size double sofa bed in the living room).

On a beautiful street in the heart of trendy Chelsea, stay in this stylish and spacious maisonette with fabulous garden, laid out over 2 floors in a fantastic location, seconds from the hip restaurants, cinema and bars on the Fulham Road and the shopping Walhalla on the King's Road.

Full use of the house with 2 double bedrooms (one master bedroom with en-suite), one smaller bedroom with double bed (and a toddler bed). 2 bathrooms (one en-suite with bathtub, one separate bathroom downstairs with shower) plus a sofa bed in the living room for add-on guests (max 2, bedding can be provided, please ask).

Fully integrated kitchen, high ceilings, solid oak and bamboo floors throughout, WIFI, and a wonderful private garden leading from the reception room.

The reception room and kitchen are on the lower ground floor as is the entrance to the flat. It's only one short flight of stairs down from street level. The bedrooms are on the first floor, both with doors opening onto balconies, with the master bedroom facing the beautiful private garden.

The place is really spacious with high ceilings and a trendy, homely decor. The kitchen is great for cooking or just having a coffee and breakfast at the breakfast bar.

This house is ideal for families or a group of couples. It has a great cosy atmosphere. We use the garden a lot for bbq's and fires to sit around at night with a glass of wine. The garden is walled and very green (it feels like a secluded jungle).

The neighbourhood is very safe and very trendy.

Piccadilly line underground rail direct from Heathrow to nearest station - Gloucester Road or South Kensington about 10 minutes walk. Conveniently only a few stops on Circle/ District Lines to Victoria for connections to Gatwick, Brighton and the south.

Near the Museums of South Kensington (V&A, Natural History Museum, Science Museum), Imperial College, The Albert Hall, Knightbridge shopping with Harrods , Harvey Nichols and all the top designers in Sloane Street. Saatchi gallery at nearby Sloane Square. Boujis, nightclub to the Royals in South Kensington. Many Bars and Restaurants in the area ranging from de luxe in Sloane Sq to budget in Earls Court Road. All types of shops for everyday items (Sainsbury's and M&S on the corner)

Full use of the flat including WIFI, iron, washer/dryer, dishwasher, double fridge .
Coffee (Nespresso machine with milk maker) tea provided.

Interaction with Guests

We will be available via telephone and email. A housekeeper is nearby to deal with any emergencies or face to face needs.

The Neighborhood

We are seconds from the hip restaurants, cinema and bars on the Fulham Road and the shopping Walhalla on the King's Road.

Getting around

There are multiple buses going into various parts town just 30 meters from the house and we are a 10 minute walk from Gloucester Road and South-Kensington Tube Station.

Other Things to Note

The photos are not up to date (furniture has changed slightly (for the better!) and we have a toddler so there will be some children's toys and things around the house.

  • The house is a nice mixture of old and modern. We really felt at home as soon as we entered. The house was very clean. The beds are good; the small garden is a plus even in winter. Nice surroundings, with stores nearby.
The only drawback is that, because of the old single glazed windows, we were disturbed by the noise of the street in one bedroom, and by the air traffic.

  • Appartement très joli et très agréable à vivre dans un top quartier (un peu loin du métro peut être mais très bien desservi par les bus).
    A recommander!

  • A very positive experience! A very charming apartment. Nice kitchen and you can use everything what's in the cabinets. So no need to rush to the shop for Salt or Pepper. Even "George" is available to satisfy your Nespresso addiction.
The living room is very cosy with a nice view of the garden.
Both the bedrooms are a good size and the beds are very comfy. Enough towels to use!
Due to the very bad weather we stayed indoors a lot and only went out to explore the neighborhood which we liked. A lot of restaurants, nice shops and pubs.
    We will definitely come back!

  • Very tastefully decorated apartment in Chelsea, with a back garden and lots of greeneries. Conveniently located near two grocery stores and several nice shops and restaurants (Gail's bakery, Daunt Books, Rossopomodoro...), it's ideal to unwind after London sightseeing or King's street shopping. The apartment has loads of equipment: well-appointed kitchen, great audio/video/cable TV/PS3 set up, very nice inside and outside dining facilities.

  • I stayed in the apartment for teo weeks with my family. The host is very accomodating and we found the apartment in excellent conditions. The host went out of her way to make us feel welcome and left us some wonderful treats. The location is also great. Would very gladly stay there again.

  • Great place, really nicely appointed in really good location. Julie looked after us really well. South Kensington is calming tonic for the intensity of London too. Very happy and can highly recommend it.

  • The flat and neighborhood are fantastic! I stayed here for NYE 2012 and it was more than perfect. I have been to London many times, but this time, it felt effortless and natural. The location and the flat make you feel right at home, and you really get to enjoy London as a local. Lots of great restaurants, local pubs, and shops right down the street. The pictures do not do it justice.

Julie is a great host. She had our groceries waiting, and was extremely accommodating. The flat was super clean, and had more than what we needed. And the garden is truly the icing on the cake. Will be back soon!

  • We had the best week at Julie's place in Chelsea. Her 2-storey apartment is spacious, clean, beautifully furnished, very comfortable and cosy in a London winter, with the prettiest view onto her leafy courtyard garden. Julie was incredibly welcoming, leaving patisseries, orange juice, milk, etc, for us on our arrival, as well as the name of the best local Thai (which was delicious). The apartment is in a great location, between Kings Road and Fulham Road, close to transport (underground and buses) with supermarkets and a cinema on the corner, and the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Hyde Park, the Thames and the shops of Knightsbridge and Kings Road a walk away. We had such a wonderful time.
