This CAPITOL HILL garden studio is EXCEPTIONALLY LOCATED, light-filled, newly and tastefully furnished and remodeled with PRIVATE EXTERIOR ENTRANCE. My guests feel like locals. It is on a QUIET, tree-lined street of single family homes with a general store, coffee shop, ice cream parlor and 3 very popular restaurants with a block! And, just a few blocks walk to 15th Ave E you'll find an array of fabulous coffee shops, bars & restaurants, Walgreens & grocery stores. Free WIFI, tv with dvd player (the best indy video rental store on the planet is an easy walk away).
The bathroom consists of a toilet & shower. The kitchenette sink serves kitchen & bath uses. The kitchenette includes sink, microwave and under counter refrigerator.
The bed is full size with excellent mattress & bedding.
Note: I assumed that some couples might find a full size bed a bit tight but most of my guests are couples with no complaint and excellent reviews.
What is unique about the Studio is that it is very private, very clean and new, easy walking distance to EVERY need, so many restaurants, has direct access to a lovely outdoor space and great bus service to downtown, Seattle Center and the University.
Free street parking. I emphasize that a car is not needed as there is easy access to public transit. Depending on your destination, the bus stop is one to three blocks away, About 10 mInute bus ride to downtown Seattle and 10 minutes to UW. Parking downtown is expensive.
Accessible architect hostess with deep knowledge of the city.
I have tried to represent this accommodation as accurately as possible.

What a lovely place....quiet, bright, good energy, clean, simple and beautiful. It was a joy to be there. Anne is kind and attentive-- a wonderful hostess. The neighborhood is fantastic too, full of inviting local spots (cafés, restaurants, shops, a friendly bar) that make you want to cancel your flight home and simply stay! I hope to return again soon. Thank you, Anne!
Stayed here for 3 days and it was great! Pretty cozy space with TV and wifi and Bluray for when you're back home for the night. Nice and quiet location that's close to plenty of amenities. Easy street parking if you need it. Cool looking house and garden space. Anne provides a helpful guide for the area as well.
We had a fabulous weekend in the studio. Everything is exactly as described and pictured, and Anne was very responsive and helpful. The location in Capitol Hill is great. We would definitely stay again.
Anne's space was beautiful, exactly what we needed! The neighborhood is perfect for anyone traveling to Seattle, whether its your 1st time or your 50th - Capitol Hill has so much to offer. The studio space is the perfect peaceful spot for a getaway. Definitely will stay again. Thanks Anne!
This studio is impeccably clean and centrally located. There are restaurants, coffee shops, etc. right around the corner. The heart of Capital Hill is only a 15 minute walk away. A cab ride to downtown cost approx. $10. I briefly met Anne who was a very gracious host. She recommended several of her favorite spots and gave me detailed instructions for the transportation in the area which was very helpful. I look forward to staying here again.
Beautiful, clean, quiet and tranquil. I will definitely stay here again when I come to town. Very convenient access to the city, easy parking, great host. It's so nice to have this kind of privacy for LESS than you'd pay for a hotel!
The Secret Garden Studio was just the place I needed! I commute and work in Capitol Hill during the weeks and had an unexpected need to stay the weekend. Anne's place was available and I booked it quickly with no hassle. The place is simple, modern, clean and efficient. Anne was a great host, providing full privacy, however, accessible when needed. She was gracious enough to fulfill my request for an iron & board as I had a suitcase full clothes which needed pressing for the upcoming week.
Perfect for 1 person or a couple, the studio is close to everything you might want to get to in Capitol Hill! I would recommend this to anyone. I will be moving to Seattle in the next few months permanently, and possibly Capitol Hill. If I do end up near by, I would definitely have guests visiting me stay here!
I appreciated the opportunity to meet and get to know Anne a bit as we have shared professional backgrounds, and look forward to getting to know her more in the future.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights on our stay to Seattle and we enjoyed our stay at the secret garden very much! The pictures are exactly what the studio looks like: quiet, cozy and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is important after a long day of walking.
The location of the house was in a very central part of town, which was so important to me because we wanted to be in the middle of it all. We didn't have a car, so we walked most of the time. It was a nice 25-30 min walk from the house to the central area of bars and restaurants in Capitol Hill. If you don't want to walk, there is a bus stop right around the corner of the house!
Although Anne was not there during our stay, we had great communication and she was very attentive if we needed anything and was very quick to respond to any questions throughout the whole experience.
If you want to stay in a quiet, clean place that is also close to amazing restaurants and a fun night life- the secret garden studio is the place!
The studio is everything the other reviewers have described: well located, clean, cozy, with a great host. The neighborhood is walkable and easy to navigate. Anne was communicative the entire time and helpful to my questions. I have a feeling once more people find out about the studio, it will be harder to book in the future. I would definitely stay there again.
