Secret Garden Studio

Apartment - Entire home/apt · 20th Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98112, United States

The Space

This CAPITOL HILL garden studio is EXCEPTIONALLY LOCATED, light-filled, newly and tastefully furnished and remodeled with PRIVATE EXTERIOR ENTRANCE. My guests feel like locals. It is on a QUIET, tree-lined street of single family homes with a general store, coffee shop, ice cream parlor and 3 very popular restaurants with a block! And, just a few blocks walk to 15th Ave E you'll find an array of fabulous coffee shops, bars & restaurants, Walgreens & grocery stores. Free WIFI, tv with dvd player (the best indy video rental store on the planet is an easy walk away).

The bathroom consists of a toilet & shower. The kitchenette sink serves kitchen & bath uses. The kitchenette includes sink, microwave and under counter refrigerator.
The bed is full size with excellent mattress & bedding.
Note: I assumed that some couples might find a full size bed a bit tight but most of my guests are couples with no complaint and excellent reviews.

What is unique about the Studio is that it is very private, very clean and new, easy walking distance to EVERY need, so many restaurants, Harvard Exit movie theater, has direct access to a lovely outdoor space and great bus service to downtown, Seattle Center the University, etc.

Free street parking. I emphasize that a car is not needed as there is easy access to public transit. Depending on your destination, the bus stop is one to three blocks away, About 10 mInute bus ride to downtown Seattle and 10 minutes to UW. Parking downtown is expensive.

Accessible architect hostess with deep knowledge of the city. I have tried to represent this accommodation as accurately as possible.

Let me know if you need information about transportation, sights, etc. AND PLEASE inform me of your approximate arrival & departure time in your reservation request (or later when known)

Two Person Maximum occupancy. No Smoking, No Pets.

Check In
  • Anne's studio is a compact but perfectly-formed place to stay in a great neighbourhood. Although we didn't meet Anne, her communication before and during our stay was exemplary and the access is by a coded door so there is no worrying about picking up or dropping off the keys. We arrived at 11pm with no problems at all. Highly recommended.

  • As always, a great place to stay and Anne is a gracious host. We think of it now as our little haven, home away from home. Everything is convenient; a walk in any direction brings adventure surrounded by flowers and lush green foliage. We'll be back!

  • We had a lovely stay in the studio. The location was in a great area and walking distance to many parts of Capitol Hill. We tried many of the places Anne suggested and enjoyed every bite. The walk to Volunteer Park was nice, even in the rain. The cafe nearby was a great place to hang out too. We look forward to staying in Capitol Hill again.

  • Anne's studio is SO cute. It is a hidden gem that is close enough to trendy Capitol Hill but not right in the the middle of the craziness. The studio is also great for exploring the great parks that are nearby (Interlaken park is beautiful!).The studio had everything we needed for our stay and the guest guide answered all our questions and had a great recommendations on where to eat/what to do. I would move in if I could :) We'll definitely be back!

  • This studio is exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for and was a clean and quiet spot to spend time during our trip to Seattle. The studio is an easy bus ride to UW, and we frequently walked to 15th or Broadway to explore. We found this to be a lovely and comfortable place in a convenient location - so we were very happy with our stay!

  • What a lovely place....quiet, bright, good energy, clean, simple and beautiful. It was a joy to be there. Anne is kind and attentive-- a wonderful hostess. The neighborhood is fantastic too, full of inviting local spots (cafés, restaurants, shops, a friendly bar) that make you want to cancel your flight home and simply stay! I hope to return again soon. Thank you, Anne!

Easy street parking if you need it. Cool looking house and garden space. Anne provides a helpful guide for the area as well.

  • This studio is impeccably clean and centrally located. There are restaurants, coffee shops, etc. right around the corner. The heart of Capital Hill is only a 15 minute walk away. A cab ride to downtown cost approx. $10. I briefly met Anne who was a very gracious host. She recommended several of her favorite spots and gave me detailed instructions for the transportation in the area which was very helpful. I look forward to staying here again.
