This single family contemporary home offers drama and practicality. The richly clad core of the home organizes the stairs and bathrooms in a vertical spine that takes its form from the inset at the entry door. The drama of the double-height atrium at the center of the house is crossed only by a bridge connecting the two bedrooms. Light from the north facing clerestory windows floods the first floor below. This Ocean Avenue home was designed by Burton Peek Edwards from the award winning firm of Siegel & Strain of Emeryville

Sean was a great host! I stayed there for 10 weeks and had zero issues. He is always looking for ways to make things better or easier in terms of your stay. He was good about keeping the fridge stocked with essentials for breakfast. He's also very easy to talk to, and doesn't impose on your space. I would absolutely stay there again!
I loved staying with Sean! He's super thoughtful, warm and really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome.
The location is wonderful, I loved waking up and walking over to the cafe. Also super convenient to the freeway, making commuting into SF easy.
The room itself is also wonderful, with a comfy bed and an absolutely spa-worthy deep tub to soak in. I bought some oil-infused soaking salts from whole foods and felt like I was in heaven.
I hope I have an opportunity to stay with Sean again!
I enjoyed staying at Sean's home. He responded to my request in a timely manner. Sean was a wonderful and friendly host. The bedroom and private bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Lots of natural light. The house is located in a quiet area, convenient to Oakland, Berkeley with easy access to BART. It was the ideal situation for me as I was transitioning a move out of state.
Great place, I would definitively rent again! Upon my arrival, everything was as expected. I had all of the furniture required for a long stay, the place was really clean and pretty and Sean has been an absolutely lovely host! The neighborhood was quiet and close enough to BART station and convenient to restaurants. I had a wonderful stay in Berkeley I'd love to come back.
Another great stay! I've come to appreciate Sean's hospitality when ever I visit the Bay Area. The location is great and his space is clean, spacious and comfortable.
We like the place. Sean makes things easier for us while we stay here.
He has washer and dryer which allow us to use and they are super easy to use.
His dogs are friendly, they are nice and never make a loud noise to disturb us. very smart dogs.
The bedroom is like the picture he posted on this website. The bathroom are nice, I love the tub.
Sean is the perfect host. He always made sure my needs were met, that I was comfortable and felt at home. Would do it again!
