  • Had a wonderful time at the Basalt Bungalow with my husband, sister, her husband, their baby and our dog. Great location, clean, cozy, private, and very reasonable. Definitely will be back!

  • Enjoyed the bungalow immensely, in particular the spacious living room, hot tub, and large fenced yard for our dog to run around.

  • Great location. The beds were very comfortable and everything you need is there..down to the shampoo! Hot tubbing under the stars topped off the visit.

  • Our second stay at Basalt Bungalow this summer was ever better than our first stay since we had more days to enjoy the house and all of the nearby attractions of Bend. Chad was good about stopping by as needed and even brought some new towels to add to the already well-stocked kitchen. We are already trying to figure out our reservations for next summer!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Basalt Bungalow. We are Bend homeowners who live overseas and have our own place rented out long-term, so it was a great feeling to be back home with a house and a yard during our stay. Chad has really put in some nice details to make this guest house feel like you are at home away from home. We appreciated the lovely front porch, gas grill, cruiser bikes and shed space for our own bikes, kitchen amenities and supplies, hot tub, shampoo, etc. For part of the time we had friends visit and stay over. Chad was very flexible allowing them to stay at no extra charge. Most importantly is that this house is located in a great spot within walking distance to great restaurants, Drake Park, downtown, many smaller parks for kids, the Old Mill (by bike) and more. It's easy to park your car and no use it. We'd be happy to stay here again!

  • This place is wonderful. It was fully equipped with everything we needed or wanted. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. The yard is like a beautiful garden. All in all in was a slice of heaven.

  • I rented this house for my folks. It's definitely nothing fancy but clean and orderly. It's an old house, so expect some peculiarities (low doorways, small bathroom sink, older fixtures and cabinets). But the location is great for access to coffee, bakery, groceries, and easy walking to downtown. My parents were relatively comfortable here (they stayed during the winter) and found the neighborhood quiet.

  • We had a great stay at the Bungalow. It's nicely equipped for cooking and lounging and has a perfect yard for our dog. The owner was very responsive to questions and requests.

We love Bend and love hosting guests in our vacation homes! We work hard so we can play lots and really enjoy skiing/snowboarding and nordic skiing up at Mt. Bachelor in the winter. Summer you can find us mountain biking and floating the river when it's time for a cool down. We hope you will enjoy your time in Bend as much as we do! We live in Bend and are happy to suggest restaurants and activities if you have any questions...Enjoy...
