  • nice and quiet place, shame the rice field doesn't exist any more, they're building new road there.. but anyway our stay was beautiful, staff is very friendly and willing to help with everything! special thanks to Madi! food, beer available in complex or just couple minutes around, you can also rent the scooter on place..

  • We had a god time in this beautiful villa! The room is stunning and the patio and swimming pool as well. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Nevertheless, we didn't have the chance to meet Morgan, and had difficulties to find the place, with the owner unable to help taxi driver. The ricefield seems to notexist anymore.

  • Great value for price. Really clean and well maintained (unusually so especially for a budget place.). Beautiful large room. Good size pool. Very helpful staff/management. Problem for me is location. You do need a moto. I wasnt up for a motor bike and there is very little food wise nearby--and food at the place wasnt so good. I got a taxi every other day to Bali Buddha a 15 minute taxi drive to get food I wanted--though they would also do delivery for a dollar or so. Really great internet.

  • Although we didn't see Morgan, the stadd there was very kind and helpful!
The place is really great! big rooms, very very nice swimming pool !
The area is a bit ex centred but you can rent a scooter for 40 000roupies/day !
only at 15min to Tanah lot by scooter!
    I highly recommend !

  • Our stay at Morgan's place was pleasant but things you should know before booking :

    - you can't reach anything without using a scooter or a car. You can rent a scooter at Morgan's place, it was cheap but it was difficult to have a helmet you can attach ...
    - it means that you can't go to any restaurant without using the scooter. Not a problem during the day, but when you know how it goes on the road in Indonesia, you will probably don't feel in the modd to take the scooter at night to have dinner.
    - you can order lunch or diner from the hostel, but the restaurant they work with isn't as good as other restaurant we tested for cheaper.
    - Morgan did a great design job, but no soundproofing at all, so I hope you will have quiet people in other rooms. If you don't have a deep sleep, it's not possible to have a late sleep but anyway animals in the surroundings kept us awake every nigth
    - the place is full of musquitos. Much more than other places we have been in Indonesia, and without any net in the room, it's a real problem
    - we really loved the swimming pole and the area around
    - as well, people working here are very nice and helpfull
    - we haven't seen Morgan as she isn't staying at this place.
This point make me constat that Morgan place is exactly as an small hostel, and not an airbnb experience at all. (not Morgan's fault if the website accept to have hostel online). She may come during the day, but she won't stay, so if you are not stayin all the day at the hostel, you won't see her.

  • From each angle Morgan's place is charming and peaceful. We couldn't leave the place and we doubled our stay. Driving one of the scouters to the beautiful and surfable Tugu and Echo beach was fun and a great experience. Tanah lot temple is also close, where the sunset is unique.
All the staff maked our stay easy, many thanks!!
We strongly hope to come back without a single doubt.
    All the best,
    Mariano.

  • The villa was like a small hotel – with somewhere around 8-12 units. The rooms are simple, but clean, very spacious, and comfortable. The staff were efficient and courteous. Breakfast was included & other meals were easily ordered and delivered in. FYI, the owner listed, Morgan, seems to be more of a local property broker than actual host-in-residence here. (Some of the staff told us that the owner is actually a local Balinese person.)
Canggu is a close jumping off point for exploring nearby beaches like Echo and Tegu to the north, or Seminyak (more touristy shopping areas) to the south.
(Note: our comments are based on stays in 5 different airbnb locations all over Bali.)

    Response from Morgan:

Just for info, i'm not a local property broker, i made the villa and design it with my business partner who is balinese owner of the land. I'm not living in this villa, i'm living 500 meters away. Happy to hear Camilla you had a good stay unfortunatly we didn't have the chance to meet, hopefully next time. Best regards

  • The villa is amazing and had a fantastic stay in Bali! Even more than what the pictures can tell, the villa, the pool and the neighbourhood is very relaxing. When you want to have a real Balinese experience, away from the touristy, noisy and crowded areas, Morgan's place is the best place to be! Big, spacious room with superb view of the pool. The upper deck during sunrise is just the place to enjoy nature's amazing beauty. Morgan was very efficient in quick replies to all my inquiries, arranged a cheerful driver for pickup from airport. Food is readily available as guests can order from the villa or have it delivered from nearby restaurant. And the massage! couldn't be more relaxing as it can be, they have an on call masseuse. Tours can be arranged with the help of their staff. If you want to shop at Ubud or have last minute shopping in nearby Airport outlet shops, they can help you get a trusted driver to take you around. Echo beach is just 20 minutes, airport is 45 minutes, Ubud is 1 hr away from the villa. With their staff, they go above and beyond to extend their help to the guests! Highly commend them. And at the end of your stay at the villa, you'll either ask yourself why the short stay, or better yet, plan your next trip. :-)

  • The friendly staff was the bonus for me. The accommodation is simple clean and relaxing with a view over a rice field from the pool and common areas. A good spot to be close to the action but still have the serenity of Bali - approx 20 min from Seminyak by taxi. You have to hire a scooter or a taxi to be mobile.

A few design faults with stairs being very narrow and some steps being further apart than normal so just be aware to book a room on the ground floor if older or unsteady on your feet.

Overall had a relaxing time and the area is open so easy to meet others and has the community feel.
