In my most honest opinion, Amy was the best, sweetest host! The 100+ year old apartment was straight out of a magazine, it was beautiful! I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
Amy was very accomodating and the place was just as pictured- very clean and welcoming. Park nearby was scenic and good for runs, excellent cafe was located about a block away, and very good downtown restaurants about 10 min away. We had a great stay! Thanks, Amy!
This was the perfect first Airbnb experience. Everything we could need was provided for and clearly marked for convenience. Amy met us upon arrival and was great about explaining everything and providing some great suggestions. Hawk's Eyrie was the perfect place for my husband and I and our toddler daughter. Very clean and nicely decorated with a great home-y feeling. We kept saying how glad we were not to have gotten a hotel room!
A very warm and comfortable apartment. Amy was a very diligent host and helped us greatly in navigating Louisville. She turned us on to local restaurants and made our stay very easy.
Hi Michael, Thank you for your gracious review. I have been in touch with Time Warner Cable the past two days seeking an improvement to our WiFi. We will take whatever measures necessary to improve the WiFi reception in the apartment and apologize again for the quality.
We enjoyed our stay here and liked the special touches- fresh flowers & homemade banana bread!
Hawk's Eyrie was a great place to stay! Amy was the perfect host. She made us feel right at home the moment we got there. The apartment was the perfect retreat towards the end of a long road trip. Wish we could have stayed longer.

About the Host, Amy
My husband, Ken, a psychology professor at Spalding University, and I have been married over 30 years and have two children living far from home so we are frequently arranging overnight accommodations. We have enjoyed staying at bed and breakfasts for years and I have always dreamed of providing the hospitality and pleasure of a home away from home. I enjoy antiquing, gardening, sewing, and watching British murder mysteries. My husband tolerates the mysteries by spinning fleeces into wool yarn which he knits into coats, capes, and caps. He gardens, cans, makes jam, and sings songs about statistical deviation to his amused students. We love hiking and the outdoors; Ken is a dedicated runner as are our two children. We've lived in Louisville, KY for over 15 years, and in June 2013 purchased the duplex next door to our home. After months of renovations, the 100+year old home is ready for guests to enjoy its relaxed and cheery ambiance.
