The space

I have one very bright, comfortable, large double bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room available which accommodates 2 people. All the hot water is heated by solar tubes!! You have your own TV with satellite channels.

I live right beside one of the best bus and tram routes to the city centre and the journey takes 20mins. The sea is about 10/15mins away by bus. There is an airport bus that comes straight to my house too which is very convenient as it runs 24/7. It's a very safe and quiet neighbourhood with a typical Irish pub, (website hidden), that serves great Guinness within a minute's walk for those nights you want to stay local. I'm happy to provide you with all the tourist information you may need in relation to the best museums and pubs etc to visit.

You can use the kitchen yourselves for breakfast and make yourselves at home especially on mornings when I'm having a lie in!!

I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully hosting you. Anyone who stays with me always say they feel very welcome and at ease straight away, so I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my cosy home in Dublin in the not too distant future. Happy travelling and adventuring! Rachel :-)

The neighborhood

My neighbourhood is very safe and quiet and very well lit at night time. It also has lots of green areas and mature trees and most importantly one of south Dublin's greatest local pubs, Galloping Green which is famous for its delicious pints of Guinness!

Getting around

My home is located less than a minute away from the Galloping Green bus stop and on one of the most frequent and reliable bus routes into the city and the sea -145 and 46a. I can give you a travel card on arrival you just need to top it up yourself. The airport bus, aircoach also stops at the Galloping Green making my home easily accessible from the airport as well.

Rachel was lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Her dog is great too! There was a huge comfortable bed and a big tv (although I didn't use it much) in the room. The house is very nice with lots of interesting stuff in it to look at. Well serviced bus stop 2 mins walk away for buses into town. Overall a very pleasant stay.

I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of hosts in the last number of months around the South Dublin area and I must say that my stay with Rachel, her partner David and the lovely Rosy top the lot. This is mostly because of the really welcoming atmosphere they create and the meeting of minds we had. My room was lovely and the feather bed was really comfortable and a testament to Rachel's cleanliness. Normally feather beds set of my allergies and asthma but had no issues what so ever. The room had a lovely bathroom that was all for me and the shower was very nice. I really must suggest anyone interested give Rachel a shout, she's a wonderful person and she has a beautiful home.
