About This Listing
I have one very comfortable double bedroom available (with new mattress) which can accommodate 2 people. You would be sharing the bathroom as I have my own. All the hot water is heated by solar tubes!! You have your own TV with satelite channels but you are also welcome to unwind in the spacious living room which is very cosy on colder nights when I light the stove which is an enclosed fire that uses less fuel but emits more heat, (in keeping with the eco-friendly theme of the house) just what you need on those cold wintery nights!!
I live right beside a one of the best bus routes and tram to the city centre and the journey takes 20mins. The sea is about 10/15mins away by bus. There is an airport bus that comes straight to my house too which is very convenient as it runs 24/7. It's a very safe and quiet neighbourhood with a typical Irish pub, (website hidden), that serves great Guinness within a minute's walk for those nights you want to stay local. I'm happy to provide you with all the tourist information you may need in relation to the best museums and pubs etc to visit.
You can use the kitchen yourselves and make yourselves at home especially on mornings when I'm having a lie in!!
I like to grow as much food as I possibly can so during the summer, all salads etc are all organic from my garden!! If you have any questions, just ask. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully hosting you. Anyone who stays with me always say they feel very welcome and at ease straight away, so I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my cosy home in Dublin in the not too distant future. Happy travelling and adventuring! Rachel :-)
My neighbourhood is very safe and quiet and very well lit at night time. It also has lots of green areas and mature trees and most importantly one of south Dublin's greatest local pubs, Galloping Green which is famous for its delicious pints of Guinness!
As I work from home, I would just ask when you are here during the day when I'm working that you would be as quiet as possible. I will give you your own house key on arrival, so you can come and go as you please. Other than that I like to think that I am an easy-going host who enjoys meeting new people and making their stay in Dublin a memorable one!
Rachel was a fantastic host. She gave me a very warm welcome in spite of arriving quite late. Her dog was also friendly and calm. Her house is certainly very cosy and Rachel has lots of interesting nick nacks.
The bed was really comfy and there was a TV in the room.
The house is on a coach route from the airport and it is easy to get into the city.
Easy to find and a great location, arrived late and l was gone early
Rachel is a very nice host and interesting person. She created a comfortable and creative environment and even met me when i got lost :)
I loved the atmosphere and the warmth of the place. will definitely stay again :)
Especially important to me, the house was warm!
I has a very enjoyable stay with Rachel. She was able to accommodate me at very short notice and was very helpful. The house is right beside the N11 so its very quick and handy to flag a taxi or get a regular bus into city centre. Happily recommend to anyone. :)
Lovely house in a quiet area, near a bus stop. Very comfortable bed, very friendly dog. We actually missed meeting Rachel in person, but she guided us kindly via text when we got lost. We have already recommended Rachel to friends.
