I have one super king very comfortable bedroom available (with new mattress) which can accommodate 2 people. You would be sharing the bathroom as I have my own. All the hot water is heated by solar tubes!! You have your own TV in each room with satelite channels but you are also welcome to unwind in the spacious living room which is very cosy on colder nights when I light the stove which is an enclosed fire that uses less fuel but emits more heat, (in keeping with the eco-friendly theme of the house) just what you need on those cold wintery nights!!
I live right beside a one of the best bus routes and tram to the city centre and the journey takes 20mins. The sea is about 10/15mins away by bus. There is an airport bus that comes straight to my house too which is very convenient as it runs 24/7. It's a very safe and quiet neighbourhood with a typical Irish pub, (website hidden)(phone number hidden), that serves great Guinness within a minute's walk for those nights you want to stay local. I'm happy to provide you with all the tourist information you may need in relation to the best museums and pubs etc to visit.
A simple breakfast of toast or cereal plus tea and coffee is included in the fee. If you would like to stay for dinner that is at an extra cost or you can use the kitchen yourselves and make yourselves at home especially on mornings when I'm having a lie in!!
I like to grow as much food as I possibly can so during the summer, all salads etc are all organic from my garden!! If you have any questions, just ask. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully hosting you. Anyone who stays with me always say they feel very welcome and at ease straight away, so I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my cosy home in Dublin in the not too distant future. Happy travelling and adventuring! Rachel :-)
Rachel was very friendly, and her place was cosy and convenient. Right on the bus line so an easy (~25-30 minute) bus ride into the centre of Dublin. There is a fabulous old style pub about a 2 minute walk away. We had a really nice 3 night stay.
Rachel was a wonderful host and very helpful. She gave us very clear directions to get to her home, and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. Her place is comfortable, clean and a great location to enjoy and explore Dublin!
Rachel hosted my uncle for a couple of nights and was a friendly and helpful host as he told me.
She had nice advices for pubs and restaurants.
I would like to recommend Rachel's place to anyone who likes to stay in a nice place which has a very close bus stop (both: city and airport) and is located in a nice and quiet area.
We arrived at Rachels place in the late afternoon and where welcomed very nice with some hot tea. Rachel showed us our room and the breakfast area (where we had a sweet breaktfast in the morning) and gave us a key to her house. The room was very cosy with a rather large bed. We had our own bathroom us Rachel had her own as well. We could park our car directly in front of the house, which was great. Rachel showed us a way to the harbour and something to eat in the evening, which was very nice. We can recommend staying at her place for a short trip to Dublin.
A quiet night, more pleasant room.
Rachel is a good hostess and we had a lot of fun to meet and chat with her.
We recommend this place.
Rachel is very friendly and welcoming and her house is lovely! I really appreciated the cosy warmth as the weather was atrocious when I was there. Highly recommended!
Staying at Rachel's was very convenient and pleasant (cozy neighborhood close to good bus connections into town). I was sick in bed the whole time, so didn't get to see much of Dublin, but can not imagine a better place home-from-home to be sick in. Rachel drove me to her house doctor and gave me soothing medicine and my boyfriend got to enjoy her christmas get-together and meet a bunch of fun locals. Great hostess, thank you Rachel!
Everything was great. I really enjoyed the hospitality. I had a nice 4 day trip to Dublin. The traffic connection to the city, to the airport and to UCD was perfect. I can recommend this appartement.
It was my first time in Dublin and it definitely left a good impression. Rachel was amazing to me. I've used airbnb quite a lot and by far she was the nicest host. She picked me up when I was lost and gave me lots of information when I needed it. She even cooked me dinner one night! The bed was super comfortable and the house was very clean and filled with lots of love. If I'm even in Dublin I would hope to stay with Rachel again. Nothing short of a perfect host.
