I enjoyed staying in this room. It is spacious, bright and quiet. Even though the house is big and there were other guests staying too, I had enough privacy. Thank you James for having me, I am had an amazing time in this house.
I've lived here for two months. The room is spacious and bright. Kitchen is well-equipped, and I cooked there almost everyday. Located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, it is a good choice if you go to USC. Also you can invite your friend to come to play pool once in a while.
James, Sylvie and Kirk are the best host. They gave me a lot of wise advices since it is my first time living abroad. And the house is like a little UN because I've had many interesting conversations with other guests from many countries. Will visit them in the future!
This room more than met my expectations. It is a large and comfortable room, although the bathroom you will use is a little small. James, his wife Sylvie, and the property manager Kirk are all wonderful, welcoming people. They are sociable if you see them but if you want to be left alone they respect that as well. If you are lucky enough to be there around a holiday be sure to ask Kirk if he is making a cheesecake- I guarantee it will be one of the best cheesecakes you have ever had!
I had a wonderful time at James' place! I was looking for a private room near the Clark Library, where I'm doing research, and I found a home. James is an amazing host and a great person. Kirk and Silvie always made me feel welcome.
Everything was perfect in my seven week stay. The room is big, sunny, and very comfortable; the house is cute and warm; and the location is perfect. A great choice!
I stayed here for three months and have just extended my stay... Very centrally located, right off the I-10, you can pretty much get anywhere in LA in 30mins. James and his roommate Kirk are very friendly and welcoming and the house is huge and tastefully decorated. Even when it's busy (up to 7 people when full) the house is large enough that you never feel cramped. The backyard is large and green and a nice place to hang out. Highly recommended.
The house is huge and beautifully decorated, which makes you feel at home instantly. The other roommates are friendly and hard-working; if you want company, there'll always be somebody in the kitchen, but if you need to work or study in private, that's respected and you'll have your privacy. James is a very attentive host, who takes great care of the property and the facilities. What I also appreciated was the huge and well-equipped kitchen, which I used on a daily basis. The place is ideal for students/researchers at USC, as the house is about a 15-minute ride by bus or bike from campus. I'm taking away nothing but good memories from the three-month stay in this gem! James and the other house mates will be missed...
I came to LA to study a short course. James is very welcoming. The house is warm spacious and has a very large inviting kitchen. The room gets a lot of sunlight and you really feel you are at home. I would definitely recommend this room for anyone looking to find a cosy warm place in a quiet area. There is a bus stop a minute away, that connects you to all routes, I found this very useful to get around.
