Enjoy the best of 3 worlds: sunny loft living, the feeling of small town Brooklyn in one of its hippest neighborhoods, and easy and quick access to everything Manhattan has to offer. Spacious, full of light, and a view of the skyline from the roof!

The space

***IMPORTANT: Please message me to inquire about availability before sending a Reservation Request. BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE READ WHOLE DESCRIPTION. ***

I have a beautiful bedroom available in a 4 bedroom apartment in trendy and charming Williamsburg, Brooklyn. If the calendar shows as booked, feel free to contact me anyway as I sometimes have availability for another bedroom in the same apartment.

Just 4 blocks from the Bedford Avenue stop on the L line (a mere 5 minutes from Manhattan), the location can’t be beat. What’s more, this neighborhood has been featured as one of the new spots to visit while in New York City. There are plenty of boutiques, small businesses and art galleries as well as delicious restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Plus two parks, one with a variety of activities and a weekly green market, and the other with a beautiful view of the East River and the Manhattan skyline.

Speaking of which, the rooftop in the building is equipped with a deck, chairs and even grills… and another postcard view of the Manhattan skyline.

The room

Radiant and spacious, this private bedroom is the perfect place to stop for a few days. Whether you want to relax or go out to the city, you will have an inviting place to come back to at the end of the day. With a huge window looking out onto a tree, you can see the squirrels and the birds as soon as you wake up. It's really lovely and makes it into a sanctuary away from the noise of the city, while still being conveniently close to it all.

The bedroom is furnished with a bed, two side tables, a desk, and a built-in closet, and has plenty of extra room for anything else you might want to bring. The bed is partially tucked into a nook (the room has a fat L shape), so it gives it a sense of coziness.

The apartment

The kitchen is well equipped with a full-size fridge and a new stove, and you’re welcome to make use of them anytime. A variety of teas are available.

The bathroom is spacious, has tons of storage and a full bath tub for those cold days in which you need to thaw out with a bath. The showerhead has 6 different settings for a spa-like experience. Towels, and natural hygiene products (shampoo, body wash and conditioner) are included in your rate.

The large living room is bathed in light from huge windows. There is a lending library that you’re invited to make use of.

Wireless internet is secure, and there is free laundry in the building. All of this is included in your rate as well.

From time to time, there might be workshops on spirituality, yoga, food, art, massage and other interesting subjects held in the living room. You're welcome to participate as part of your stay in this oasis in the middle of bustling NYC. For guests who are not participating, the living room will be off-limits for the duration of the workshop (usually just a couple hours).

What’s included?
-All towels and linens
-Free and secure wifi
-Free laundry in the building
-Use of kitchen
-Lending library
-Elevator
-Great light
-Spacious private bedroom
-Free participation in workshops and events

Guest access

I want my guests to feel at home, so please feel free to keep stuff in the fridge, cook in the kitchen, chill in the living room, or take a relaxing bath. All I ask is that you clean up after yourself and make sure spaces are clean and ready for others to make use of them after you're done.

You'll also have access to free laundry in the building, as well as a fabulous rooftop with a breathtaking view of the Empire State building and the midtown Manhattan skyline.

Please note: while there is an elevator, please ask me before using it as it requires specific instructions.

Interaction with guests

I'm always available to answer questions about the neighborhood, restaurants, things to do, etc.

Other things to note

PLEASE NOTE: this listing is for a private bedroom in a 4 bedroom/1 bath apartment.

Sharing the bathroom is not usually an issue, as people tend to have different schedules.

If you value and want to be part of creating the same, you're more than welcome to stay at my place. :) ****

This is a safe space for fun, exploration and transformation. Please take advantage and feel free to be yourself. The only restrictions are as follows:

Please be respectful of the apartment and other guests.

In order to keep things cleaner, we ask that you leave your shoes at the door.

You're welcome to use the kitchen. Condiments are available for your use in the top right cupboard. Feel free to use anything in there.

After using the kitchen, make sure to wash your dishes and wipe the countertop down. If there were any spills or splattering on the stove, wait until it cools down and clean it up.

Recycling bins are designated and available in the kitchen between the stove and fridge. Everything that goes in there must be rinsed before being thrown out. Not only do unrinsed items not get recycled, but not doing so creates unpleasant smells in the house. Speaking of which, beer bottles and cans must be taken out to the recycling container outside the building after you're done with them (otherwise they stink up the apartment).

Please take out the trash when full. There are 4 plastic containers to the left of the building entrance on N9 Street: the 3 large ones are for regular trash, and the small one is for the recyclables (use the paper bags next to the recycling bins in the apartment to take the recyclables out to the container outside). There are additional plastic trash bags under the kitchen sink to replace the one in the regular trash can.

There are easy-to-care-for plants in the apartment. Please water them if needed. The cactus and succulent only need a little water, while the other larger plants (money tree and coleus) need about 1.5 cups per week.

Other than that, there no smoking or drugs of any kind are allowed in the apartment but you can go to the gorgeous rooftop for a smoke if necessary.

You're welcome to have friends over to hang out or for dinner, but no amplified music or parties are allowed in the apartment or the rooftop. In addition, inviting a lover is fine as long as you're respectful of the rest of the people in the house. Planned visits by friends or family need to be approved in advance so the apartment doesn't get too crowded.

Please check with other guests before planning a gathering at home or inviting a friend to visit you in New York. The apartment is big, but there is only one bathroom so it's best to plan in advance so everyone is comfortable.

If you have any questions, please ask me in person or email me to (EMAIL HIDDEN)

Thanks so much, and enjoy your stay!

Melody's a great host. She was very attentative to me being new in williamsburg and made me feel welcomed from day 1. It's a 4 bedroom apartment at a great location next to a ton of restaurants and great views of the city a 5min walk away. The L train is 4 blocks away and you'll be in Manhattan in 15min, making this a good location to go between the city and Williamsburg. Overall, I had a great stay with Melody and would recommend staying here for a long term stay like I did!

Melody was a very attentive host. If I had any questions or requests about the apartment she was easily accessible by phone and took care of my requests to make sure I was comfortable. To my surprise, the apartment was shared with 3 other Airbnb guests - so it seemed a bit like a hostel (everyone was nice, but wanted to tour the city together, which I wasn't interested in) - take this into consideration for your stay

Melody has a great, spacious, light filled apartment that's in a prime area of Williamsburg. She's extremely helpful, easy to get along with and great to talk to. Overall couldn't have asked for a better experience in my week spent there.

Highly recommended! Great location, the neighbourhood feels like a town in the middle of New York. You could hear birds singin in the morning and light coming through the huge windows. The house has an inner peace, and Melody is part of that. She is very welcoming, open minded and laid-back. Which makes you feel at home! There is also a great yoga place by the corner and tones of enchanting cafés and organic markets two steps away! And.. You would also be delighted by the pianist who lives a floor above and plays Chopin, Bach and Beethoven in reasonable hours.

My staying at Melody's place was amazing! The best location, very friendly host and nice room, filled with natural light and birds singing. I was really happy there, especially at the roof top at mornings and nights :) And there are so many great bars and restaurants around. And by the way awesome movie-theater right under the night sky every Monday in Waterfront park!

Melody's apartment is just great. Very spacious and comfortable and perfect for a short or long stay only two blocks from the Subway (L line). The neighborhood, Williamsbourg,.. nothing much to say, one of the most interesting spots in NYC today, lively place, full of good restaurants and absolutely safe. Melody is very friendly and open to help the visitors to make the stay a good experience. I strongly recommend the stay in her apartment.
