A beautiful 2 bedroom home in the heart of the Jungles of Manuel Antonio. Surrounded by jungle, waterfalls, and 3 pristine beaches. The closest beach is 10min walking and the main beach and National Park are 10min by local bus, and the bus stop is 4min from the house.
30min walking there is a big waterfall, suitable for swimming. The town of Quepos is 5min by local bus or a 10min walk and it has restaurants, stores and a wonderful vegetable and fruit market every weekend by the ocean walk, and the Manuel Antonio Beach is full of hotels, restaurants and the main beach is located there. The beautiful and well known Manuel Antonio National Park is a 30min walk away.
The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a twin sized bed. A living room with a open kitchen. The bathroom is newly renovated, looks like a cave surrounded by stone wall, and a window looking in to the jungle.
The house has hot water, fans in each room, very good wifi, and all bills are included.
The house also has an outside shower for the ones that want to shower in the wild ;-)
There is a big yard, filled with avocados, coconuts, mangoes and much more.
It also has a huge terrace with a seating area where its great to have your morning coffee while observing monkeys daily visit and Tucans flying in the sky.
Its a very friendly area, great neighbors.
There is also a gardener that comes in 1x a week, and he can bring some coconuts down for you ;-) and I have a cleaning lady come in before your stay and after your stay.
My house manager can take care of all tours and car rentals.
Long term rentals available!!!
There is a public bus that goes to the local town Quepos and to the National Park in Manuel Antonio and all the beaches.

My husband and I stayed in Casa Daniela the end of April 2014. We had very high expectations of the house and were happy when they were all met. We stayed 9 days and wish we could have stayed longer. My biggest concern was seeing monkeys and sloths at the house even though we were not at the house often. We saw monkeys 3 different days and on the 8th day a sloth hung out in the tree next to the house all day. Birds were everywhere and you can hear them sing all the time. The inside is modern and has most of what you need. The bed is pretty small but it worked for us for the week. The mango's from the tree are so good. If you hear a really loud bang don't worry, it is just the mango's falling and hitting the roof. It took us a day or two to figure that out. I would highly recommend this house.
We stayed at Casa Daniela during the last week of March and what you see on the Airbnb pictures is exactly what the house looks like. The afternoon we arrived, there was a monkey in the tree above the house! It is just the setting we pictured for Costa Rica.
I was concerned about mosquitoes in the house, and will tell you there is no need to be. We never saw a mosquitoe in the house. There are great screens on all the windows and security screen doors on both the front and the back doors. The screens are new, and there are no holes in them. We felt safe to leave all the windows open at night because there are security bars on all the windows. There are ceiling fans in every room except the laundry room and the bathroom.
Dennis the house manager was always available to us when we needed him,and he also booked excursions for us! We were very impressed with the professionalism and the attentiveness of both Dennis and Jessica the owner. Dennis contacted us by phone and Jessica emailed to make sure things were running smoothly.
I have a few tips: The house does not have a telephone. We bought a Kolbi Costa Rica prepaid chip for our cell phones and were able to make calls. You can recharge it as needed and it is not expensive. We bought ours at the airport when we got off the plane. We removed the chips from our phones and then replaced it with the little kolbi chip.
Suntan lotion: You'll need it and a very small bottle/tube will cost at least $25.00 plus 13% tax :) So I suggest you bring a large bottle/tube from home.
Restaurants automatically include a 10% service fee for the tip on your bill, and the tax is 13% in Costa Rica. So expect to pay 23%
Money: Most places will take US dollars and give change in colones. Even the bus will take a US dollar.
Bus: you can catch the bus to Manuel Antonio across the street from Amigos Del Rio. The cost is 285 colones. We liked to go to Manuel Antonio rather than Quepos. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella for just a few dollars, and the water is so warm. I even got a massage on the beach!
Food stores: We preferred to buy food items in Manuel Antonio b/c we were able to find items we were used to eating at home to put in our refrigerator for sandwiches.
For a fun adventure - try Amigos del Rio for white water rafting! We did the class IV and V rapids and had a great time.
To sum it all up, we had a wonderful experience at Casa Daniela and had so much fun that we did not want to return home! It was a great vacation home for us and just a quick bus ride to wherever we wanted to go.
We enjoyed our 3 days at Casa Daniela. Having our rental car made getting around the area very effortless but the bus stop is just down the hill and also very convenient. The home is very secure and the appliances new. Would be ideal for a long term stay.
I stayed in Jessica's lovely house for 5 nights in March. It is a great home which has been nicely refurbished and has modern well stocked kitchen with a huge fridge. The garden is beautiful and very secluded although I did not see any monkeys. The house is well located with a bus at the end of the street that will take you to the beach in 5 minutes.
The neighbourhood is nice and friendly and I really enjoyed my stay here.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights from 2/17 to 2/19 and it was a great place to stay if you're visiting the Manual Antonio area.
The other reviewers are pretty spot on in their reviews - Jessica's place is beautiful inside and out. The breakfast bar area was a great place to cook and relax before heading out to explore the area. The outdoor patio area was also a relaxing place to hangout in the early morning when it was cool while the jungle was coming alive. As others mentioned, we saw monkey's pass through one morning which was a fun experience.
Jessica's kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. We ended up cooking breakfast there and ate other meals out (Sanchez's has excellent taco's which is just up the hill towards Manual Antonio).
If you're traveling without a vehicle and taking Interbus, it might help to get dropped off at the Best Western Kamuk in Quepos which is right next to where the current house manager works which was convenient, Check with Jessica to ensure that's still true, but that worked out well for us. The house manager was kind enough to stop at a small grocery store to allow us to pick up groceries, just ask.
The bus will pick you up right in the front of the road leading up to Jessica's place (Across from Amigos Del Rio). Just wave your hand like a slowing motion when the bus will pick you up. As a tip - it was 285 colones (which works out to about a half dollar) for each passenger.
WE were there from Oct.30 to Nov. 8, and it was perfect. warm days and only rained at night. Having the monkeys come through the yard every afternoon was so fun. Jessica's house was the best. We were able to buy groceries in Quepos and cook at the house. So enjoyed sitting out on the patio and listening to the birds. It is very private. Loved the outdoor shower. There is a short steep hill to climb but wasn't to bad just have to go slow. Having the bus stop at the bottom of the hill was a plus. We really enjoyed Quepos. We spent alot of time walking around there and really enjoyed all the delicious food. They have a great Farmers Market on Sat. on the levee. We felt totaly safe there the whole time. They are the friendlest, most helpful, and happy people. We hope to go there again one day.
We had a great stay at Jessica's place, as a couple staying for about 10 days in the rainy season. The house is very private, and is situated off the main road (just uphill a steep driveway off the main road) between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, next to a bus stop, and throughout our entire stay we took the local bus to all the sights and restaurants in the area. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and tours to take advantage of, even in the rainy season, even though the area was pretty quiet. We enjoyed the calm! There are half a dozen beaches around, you have your pick of your favorites if you take the bus, and we preferred Espadilla Sur to relax, and beaches in Manuel Antonio for wildlife and privacy.
There was a different house manager than the other reviews discussed. The new house manager, Dennis, picked us up from the Quepos airport and even took us to grab some groceries before we settled in, which we much appreciated since we came without a car. It was his first time managing the house so he was not as familiar with the immediate area and recommendations, but was still very accommodating and available to help book tours. Coming and going from the house by bus was very easy. We had a great stay, and will miss being surrounded by the plants and sounds of the rainforest.
We had a great time staying in Jessica's place. The location is absolutely perfect between quepos and Manuel Antonio. Its set back in the jungle a few hundred meters from the road and feels nice and secluded but is really close if you want to go out and do anything. The house feels brand new and very safe. Nice listening to the jungle at night and there's a nice little patio out back. There's also a very nice little cat that likes to hang around outside in the yard and she's like a little vacation pet. Definitely recommend this place if you're planning to stay in the area.
Nice little house between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Well equipped and clean with 2 small bedrooms and 2 terrasses. Very friendly host.
Be aware to carry everything a few steep steps from the driveway down to the house.
The house and garden are a lovely getaway. It was home for me for 3 month. Most enjoyed the spacious outdoor patio for my morning coffee and watching the birds and monkeys visiting. Also the outdoor shower is wonderful after you come home from the beach.
The kitchen is full equipped, stainless appliances.Transportation. is a short 2 minutes from the house.
You need to be in fair shape to clime a short hill and also steep steps on to the property.
The contact person Donna and Bruce been most helpful of any needs you may have.
I highly recommend Jessicas casa.
