Description

The space

A beautiful 2 bedroom home in the heart of Manuel Antonio. Surrounded by jungle, waterfalls, and 3 pristine beaches. The main beach and National Park are 10min by local bus, and the bus stop is 5min from the house.

The town of Quepos is 5min by local bus or a 10min walk and it has restaurants, stores and a wonderful vegetable and fruit market every weekend by the ocean walk, and the Manuel Antonio Beach is full of hotels, restaurants and the main beach is located there.

The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a twin sized bed. A living room with a open kitchen and a full sized sofa bed that sleeps 1 or 2. The bathroom is newly renovated, surrounded by stone wall, and a window looking in to the jungle.
The house has hot water, fans in each room, very good wifi, and all bills are included.
The house also has an outside shower for the ones that want to shower under the stars ;-)

There is a big yard, filled with avocados, coconuts, mangoes and more.
It also has a huge terrace with a seating area where its great to have your morning coffee while observing monkeys daily visit and Tucans flying in the sky.

Its a very friendly area, great neighbors.

There is also a gardener that comes in 1x a week, and he can bring some coconuts down for you ;-) and I have a cleaning lady come in before your stay and after your stay.

My house manager can take care of all tours and car rentals.

Long term rentals available!!!

There is a public bus that goes to the local town Quepos and to the National Park in Manuel Antonio and all the beaches.

There is a newly renovated parking area so a 4x4 car is absolutely no problem. Well lit and lots of space for a car.

Guest access

Entire house and garden.

Getting around

There is a public bus that goes to the local town Quepos and to the National Park in Manuel Antonio and beaches

Other things to note

The house is located uphill, so to get to the house there is a short but steep hill, and then there are stairs leading down to the house, just something to keep in mind ;-) Manuel Antonio is all situated on a hill, except of course the beaches are down hill, but most homes and restaurants are up on the hill.

Casa Daniela is surrounded by a "private jungle" where you can hear macaw screams and with a bit of luck see a sloth climbing up a tree. There are two terraces, one of them is great to have your meals outside. Parking is next to the garden, but you will definitely need a 4x4, because it’s a steep and really rocky drive up. Casa Daniela is very carefully decorated and everything has a personal touch. We loved the bathroom with a huge shower and immediately, unlimited warm water and the well equipped kitchen with oven. There is no Airco but fans will do also during dry season, however it can be quite humid. The door locks are something to get used to, but if you know which keys to use, you will be fine. We needed some time to adapt to the bed; the mattress is rather soft and for men taller than 1,80m a bit short. Nevertheless we had a good time in the apartment and felt close to nature.

Great house close to Quepos and Manual Antonio. If you walk be prepared for hills but is still close to several places and on the bus route. It's garden and back patio are very enjoyable especially when the monkeys come through in the evening. I would definitely stay at this home again.

Our stay at Casa Daniela was amazing!! The house itself and location are perfect, and Jessica was on hand for anything we needed. The area was perfect for beach, wildlife and may great places to eat. Transport links were great, but we'd recommend hiring a car (4x4 if you can) so you can explore the areas around Manuel Antonio - there's lots of beautiful beaches that are slightly less busy/touristy than Manuel Antonio, and other national parks such as Rainmakers and Los Campesions - these are definitely worth checking out!!

This is the perfect pad to crash at because it's in the middle of everything yet also very secluded! We woke up to monkeys and birds and felt like we had really found a place in the jungle! As for amenities, the house had it all, nice applisnces, beautiful stone flooring and bar area, and most importantly fans for the warmer, more humid times of the day. When the sun sets, it's very comfortable and although there's no AC, we didn't really mind! If you're planning on a trip to Manuel Antonio, I would 100% suggest this place! Bring mosquito spray and you'll be good to go! Thanks again, Jessica, we really enjoyed our stay at Casa Daniela!

This was a great place in Manuel Antonio. Close to restaurants, shops, and beaches, but also private and secluded. Thanks so much, Jessica!

The good thing about this house is its location. You are 5 min drive to the beach and Quepos. The garden was really nice, we saw macaws and monkeys daily, but if you have pets beware! The fence is not secure and one of our dogs actually got out. When we arrived Dennis took us to the house. He is very nice and answered questions quickly. He informed us that the washer and dryer were not functioning, which we found to be an inconvience later in our stay. We also found that both handles on the bedroom doors were falling off and one actually did. The drive from the main road to the house is steep and the parking spot is a little akward. One of our main issues was a hole in the parking spot that had metal running through it. Our son stepped through it and cut his foot. It was not bad but still an issue. We informed the host immediately. The parking spot was infested with ants as well making it difficult to get into the car with kids without getting bitten. All issues were communicated to the host.

Response from Jessica:
Thank you for your stay! We have replaced all the door handles as soon as you told me I told Dennis to change them and the hole by the parking spot has also been filed with cemenet, as soon as you left. Yes the dryer and washing machine is now fixed it broke the day of your check in that's why I emailed you to ask if you need someone to come now or if you will not be using the washing machine for your 3 night stay, and you emailed me that you will not be needing the washing machine. So we did our best and would of had it fixed the next day but since you said you don't need it, we didn't want to inconvenience your short stay and fixed it after. As far as ants go, Manuel Antonio is surrounded by jungle we can't control ants in the house we somewhat can but in the garden of parking lot we definitely can't. Thank you

Welcome,

I'm Jessica Sjoo, used to model for 14 years and now currently working in Real Estate in NYC. I have been using Airbnb for a while, and like it, and I have always had wonderful guests stay at one of my homes.

Airbnb is a great way to travel the world and stay in a nice home, and feel more at home. Even though the luxury of a hotel can be nice as well, having an apartment makes you feel less touristy, and you can cook, make your own tea, coffee and feel more at ease.

I hope that you will get a chance to stay at one of my beautiful homes, in the hustle and bustle of NYC or in the middle of beautiful beaches and nature in Costa Rica.
