I have a 3 guest bedroom home with 2 private baths available, All the beds have tempurpedic matress toppers. with one bedroom and one bath downstairs, and two bedrooms and one bath upstairs. Our home is a.traditional home which has been updated recently, located in a well established neighborhood. I can accommodate 2 in the guest room in two of the three rooms. One room has a full size bed, and one room has 2 twins, that we can make into a king.
The kitchen has black granite counter tops and cherry wood cabinets and a gas stove.
The driveway is at least three cars wide and two deep. So you can pull your vehicle in off the street. The neighborhood is very safe and there are a few police that live nearby and the neighbors are friendly.
You will be given the code for the WIFI upon booking.
I enjoy making breakfast, but if time is not permitting, it can be a self-serve breakfast (any time of day), mostly coffee, tea, juice, milk, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, snack bars, eggs, and toast. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions and I will do my best to accommodate.
The pool is open year-round, but the best swimming months are mid-April to mid-October.There are chairs, tables, and a daybed swing, along with pool floats, koozies, towels, extra flip flops, and sunblock. We also have an outdoor fire pit for evenings and smore's making.
A ping pong table and a dart board are on a covered porch for additional entertainment. Plus, I have an extensive dvd collection which you are welcome to help yourself to or use our Netflix account to watch movies online.
We do not have any pets, but pets are allowed as long as they are friendly. Our yard is gated, but is not "dog proof" as there are places a small dog could get out. There is a nice area just beyond our back gate to walk your dog.
As we prefer nobody smoke inside our home, we provide cigarette receptacles around the outside of our home, with multiple places to smoke including a covered side porch.
Within walking distance:
5 min walk to - basketball and tennis courts and a work-out station on our Hike & Bike trail.
A bus line that stops a few blocks from my house regularly. You can get directions for the buses or I could get that information for you. Although, I would suggest planning on renting a car. Houston is a big city... fourth largest in the U.S. and driving is unfortunately the most efficient form of transportation in this area.
I am a native Texan and have lived in the Houston area for most of my life. Both my husband and I can assist and/or guide you with your itinerary, directions, or sightseeing you might want to do. We have been compared to a "sleeper" film... a great film that has gone under the radar. With a true understanding of Southern Hospitality...my husband and I welcome you into our home, as we hope you enter as guests and leave as friends.
Jennifer was an amazing host, we had so much fun sharing our experience about Airbnb! The room was huge! With access to a private bathroom, she keeps her place clean and tidy, a major plus point for us. But most importantly, she provides information and places that you could travel and eat like a local, which we really love! Thanks a bunch Jennifer!
What very special hosts Jennifer ( and Art) are. We felt very welcome the second time we visited them at the end of June 2014. They made us a very tastefull dinner when we returned after a 2 and a half week journey. The breakfast Jennifer makes are delicious. She and her family always have special attention for everyone staying in their house. When we visit Houston we will certainly return to them and staying a couple of days. We recomment Jennifer to all visitors who are coming to Houston.
This was the first time we had ever used airbnb. Our plane was delayed meaning we arrived very late at night, and Jennifer was gracious enough to welcome us at that time anyway. Our schedule was busy, but Jennifer was helpful with tips on things to do. A comfortable and private bedroom.
Fantastic experience. I don't think you'll find a better Host In Houston. The house is beautiful and Jennifer is super funny and it's been hard leave her house cause I really had an Awesome time .
Thank you Jennifer ;)
Jennifer is a really great host. We felt very welcome! We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every minute.Jennifer and her family are very nice people who will do anything to make you have a very pleasant stay. Jennifer alse makes very tastfull breakfasts, which we enjoyed. She also had good suggestions sightseeing Houston.
I recomment Jennifer's house to anyone visiting Houston.
I had a great stay with Jennifer and her family. My room was quiet and clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with a private bath. Laid back, but accessible, Jennifer was a great host. She was kind and willing to offer suggestions and recommendations for my various day trips. I was impressed she was able to accommodate me last minute. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town!
We had a great stay with Jennifer and Art at their wonderful house while in Houston for our sons graduation from commercial diving school. It was a blessing for us to be able to find a place such as this with a pool; for myself to keep cool in the heat due to a brain injury, and for my son so that he and his sister and friends that came to attend his graduation could enjoy themselves that weekend without having to go anywhere. Jennifer and Art are excellent hosts with extensive knowledge of the area to help guide you in deciding where would be a good place to go and those to avoid at what times in the hectic big city of Houston. To say the least we all enjoyed our brief stay with them and highly recommend them as a wonderful place to stay and well worth the money.
Myself, I had never been to Houston before and really wanted to visit NASA Space Center, I recommend it highly. Try going early in the day so you can take the tram tours of Johnson Space center where all the action takes place. The highlight for me was seeing the old Mission Control Room from the 60's and 70's that is now so far outpaced by the newest technology at the current Mission Control. I was in awe that I was actually in the room that so many historical space adventures were launched from, sitting in the same seats as visitors such as the Astronauts wives, Presidents and visiting dignitaries did watching the launch and the ongoing space flight be directed and monitored. Thanks Jennifer and Art for helping us enjoy our visit with our son in such a wonderful and fun environment. Bob and Debi, Kara and Jonathan and friends...
Jennifer is a perfect host to stay with. She served breakfast. Provided with an additional bed at the last minute! There's nothing much you can ask for when you're staying at someone's place.. Thank you Jennifer!!
Great stay in a nice quiet neighborhood. Jennifer and Art were wonderful. Stay recommended.
I have been so well welcomed by Jennifer! I could not except a better host to speak with. Indeed, Jennifer is very interesting and helpful. In addition, she cooks very well. The breakfast was delicious. The place is very big, comfy, clean and quiet. What else can we ask for? I highly recommend Jennifer.
