I have a 3 guest bedroom home with 2 private baths available, All the beds have tempurpedic matress toppers. with one bedroom and one bath downstairs, and two bedrooms and one bath upstairs. Our home is a.traditional home which has been updated recently, located in a well established neighborhood. I can accommodate 2 in the guest room in two of the three rooms. One room has a full size bed, and one room has 2 twins, that we can make into a king.
The kitchen has black granite counter tops and cherry wood cabinets and a gas stove.
The driveway is at least three cars wide and two deep. So you can pull your vehicle in off the street. The neighborhood is very safe and there are a few police that live nearby and the neighbors are friendly.
You will be given the code for the WIFI upon booking.
I enjoy making breakfast, but if time is not permitting, it can be a self-serve breakfast (any time of day), mostly coffee, tea, juice, milk, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, snack bars, eggs, and toast. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions and I will do my best to accommodate.
The pool is open year-round, but the best swimming months are mid-April to mid-October.There are chairs, tables, and a daybed swing, along with pool floats, koozies, towels, extra flip flops, and sunblock. We also have an outdoor fire pit for evenings and smore's making.
A ping pong table and a dart board are on a covered porch for additional entertainment. Plus, I have an extensive dvd collection which you are welcome to help yourself to or use our Netflix account to watch movies online.
We do not have any pets, but pets are allowed as long as they are friendly. Our yard is gated, but is not "dog proof" as there are places a small dog could get out. There is a nice area just beyond our back gate to walk your dog.
As we prefer nobody smoke inside our home, we provide cigarette receptacles around the outside of our home, with multiple places to smoke including a covered side porch.
Within walking distance:
5 min walk to - basketball and tennis courts and a work-out station on our Hike & Bike trail.
A bus line that stops a few blocks from my house regularly. You can get directions for the buses or I could get that information for you. Although, I would suggest planning on renting a car. Houston is a big city... fourth largest in the U.S. and driving is unfortunately the most efficient form of transportation in this area.
I am a native Texan and have lived in the Houston area for most of my life. Both my husband and I can assist and/or guide you with your itinerary, directions, or sightseeing you might want to do. We have been compared to a "sleeper" film... a great film that has gone under the radar. With a true understanding of Southern Hospitality...my husband and I welcome you into our home, as we hope you enter as guests and leave as friends.
Respect my home
Clean your own mess
If you bring a pet, please clean it's paws when you bring it inside if it is wet outside.
Jennifer was a very friendly host! Her home and neighborhood felt safe and was in a convenient location that very was easy to get to. Our stay was short, just one night and then we headed home the next day. The twin mattresses seemed pretty old and the pillows flat but we got a decent night sleep.
Very sweet lady. I really enjoyed my time of relaxation and quite time. Cool key and entry system and food lol. God bless her family
Jennifer was great! She allowed us to check in early and she had snacks for us to take on the go the next morning. The house was nice and clean and the room was the same. We enjoyed our stay!
Jennifer was very accommodating! My dad and I were able to have a comfortable stay in a room with two beds. She also let us use the driveway which was great since we had a trailer.
My husband and I have been visiting Houston area for the first time. Jennifer contacted us in advance asking about the approximate time we can come. Unfortunately, our host was sick, however she managed to answer all our questions about the neighborhood, jobs and school opportunities in the area. We didn't spend much time in the house. The location was convenient, as well as the house was cozy and inviting.
We spent a wonderful night in Jennifer's home and would highly recommend it to anyone else. Jennifer is a gracious host, very friendly, and thinks of everything!
A recent empty nester, I am a native Texan. I have a degree in history and another in Humanities. Hosting is fun and I strive to have everyone enter my home as a guest and leave as a friend. I have traveled extensively in the states and traveled to Europe a few times. I enjoy working in the yard, gathering with friends, and watching movies. I love Italian and Mexican food.
As a host, I will try to be at home to welcome you and show you around. I have great relationships with my guests. My philosophy is to feel as if you are staying with family you just haven't met yet. If I have cooked dinner, you would be invited to join. Over dinner and wine/beer, there is always lively conversations. If you prefer to be out and about... that's fine too and you will have your own key through the duration of your stay. Once you leave the common areas of the home... I give you privacy. If you so desire. We have darts, a ping pong table, and multiple games for entertainment. There is also an extensive DVD collection. And you are free to look through them and watch (website hidden) your leisure. In the morning, I make breakfast which I will attempt to align with your schedule. If that's not possible, there is always cereal and fresh fruit as well has coffee and tea. You are welcome to help yourself in the kitchen. Mi casa su casa.
