The space
In east Lombok, about 7 km north of Tetebatu on the rim to Rinjani National Park is where you will find Lombok Organic Farm and Rumah Tipis. The house was built in 2017 with the main view west over pristine rice field terrace and the national park forest; a forest filled with animal life such as Black Ebony Leaf *Monkey*, *Leopard* Cats, Rusa *Deer* and countless birds (note the singing sound of the Doves flying by each morning). Clear mornings you will be treated with crispy views of Gunung Rinjani, as well as cool mountain air and fresh water from the mountain. While staying with us you become part of food transparency and support our vision-quest to re-introduce food-eaters with food-growers. Our standard of living is a direct reflection of the values and principles we aim to establish and follow, we are building this place slowly over time, step-by-step adding what naturally comes up along the way.

This is truly an adventurous experience, rustic and authentic right in the middle of Lombok village life. Our fam is the perfect place for long-time travelers, lovers of nature, spiritual-minded people, followers of transformational culture, trekking-lovers, backpackers, artists, musicians, and eco-enthusiast to have their own unique experience. We warmly invite everyone (who will treat our home with love and care) to come and stay in our beautiful wooden house were you can spend the morning looking out over national park from the comfort of your own bed. The house itself has two floors, on the first floor you have a nice relaxing area and a double-sized mexican hammock. On the second floor there is an outside wooden deck, a private chill out space and bedroom with a really comfortable queen size bed (140cm) ( mosquito net available). There is a separate and spacious private outdoor bathroom with a cold fresh springwater shower and a compost toilet.

There is a basic kitchen connected to our farm office located 50m from the house, you have free access to our kitchen supplies including a bread baking machine and Tupperware. If you take an interest in local food culture we can also arrange a private cooking class.

Other things to note
Here we have made a list of questions, consider this place is suitable if you answer YES to what is written below:

- I like adventures!
- I’m not afraid of bugs, frogs and mice (all these creatures also live in the rice field)
- I don’t mind off the beaten track living.
- I am curios and open to experiencing a typical Lombok village and it’s inhabitants, and will do so with the utmost respectful approach.
- I look forward to eating and/or cooking local food in simple surroundings.
- I don’t mind an outdoor shower and toilet even if it turns out a sizy spider have decided to build a home there.
- I don’t need a fast wi-fi and if there is a power cut I will be fine (the house has solar panels for lights and phone charging).
- I am aware that the Mosque will send out prayers 5 times/day, sometimes very loud, this is part of the cultural experience.
- I am not looking for a regular hotel, I am looking for an experience to remember!

If you feel like this is something for you; please write us a message and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you see our place being a good fit for you, thank you.

Neighborhood highlights

The farm is located close to the Rinjani National Park and multiple waterfalls. You can hike to five different waterfalls trough beautiful rice paddies and jungle treks. With the Rinjani always looming up in the background.

Lombok is a muslim island (east Lombok in particular) and although locals are used to see tourists behaving “differently”, you should respect their culture and believes and be aware of how to dress or behave without offending them (e.g. be mindful of what you wear and don’t drink alcohol in public).
