We live just outside Washington DC in an architect-designed home that looks out over the C&O Canal National Park and the Potomac River. House features 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, five bicycles.
This house has well over a hundred windows, is crafted of wood, brick, and concrete, and features a screened in porch and a back deck looking out over the woods.
Guests can use the entire house, including two televisions with cable, blu-ray disk players, three PCs with broadband internet and wifi to connect mobile devices at no cost.
Interaction with Guests
We will exchange all necessary information prior to arrival via phone, email, and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). You can pickup the keys from a neighbor when you arrive. We will be available by phone, email, and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) throughout your stay should you have any questions or need some advice.
This is a very quiet neighborhood with no through traffic. By walking down to the end of the property, you're on the MacArthur Blvd bike path which connects Great Falls MD with Georgetown, DC and bike paths in Arlington VA. you can reach the C & O Canal National Historic Trail, a 162 mile hiking/biking/jogging path that runs all the way from Georgetown in D.C. to cumberland MD along the banks of the Potomac River.
There is a bus two blocks away that takes you to the Metro transit system, and we leave you instructions for finding groceries, restaurants, Washington DC monuments, museums, etc.
Other Things to Note
This house is a one of a kind. The house is set up to stream anything on the two large televisions. One is in the kitchen and one is in the family room in the lower level. The DIRECTV includes Showtime and a sports package. Netflix and HBO are set up for streaming.
Absolutely no smoking in or near the house. No drugs or other illegal activity. No parties larger than 12 persons without explicit permission.
From Sep 1 - Nov 30, 2016 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Mark is a small business owner and landlord. Nancy has a masters of public health degree and works at home. Mitchell attends the University of Maryland, and Abby attends UCLA.
