Judith and Edward were tremendous hosts. They love life and are interested in many things, including nature, music and the environment. Judith keeps her guests informed, takes an active role in helping, and will make a nutritious, delicious breakfast if challenged!
We used Penetanguishene Rd. as a jump off for Moonstone / Mt. Louis March skiing, and also enjoyed discovering Barrie's second-hand stores and food offerings. (Donaleighs Pub is a must).
The basement suite was very private with a sparkling new washroom and expansive recreation room.
Listen, this is why we airbnb...local experts make a visit twice as interesting and half as expensive (in this case, a third).
Keep up the good work, Judith and Edward!

Everything was clean and tidy. Quiet and relaxing room. Very Close to Horseshoe and (website hidden) Louis. Restaurants and Gas only a couple blocks away. Very accommodating. Nice people to chat with.
Judith and Edward were very welcoming and friendly our entire stay. They offered suggestions on activities and nearby attractions when the weather got too cold to ski, and went above and beyond our expectations, renting their snowshoes to us and offering delicious coffee. The room was quiet and cozy, and the fire place in the rec room offered a comfortable retreat. We would highly recommend staying with Judith and Edward and hope to return in the future!
Judith and Edward were very welcoming and offered kind help for me to settle in comfortably.
I had the chance to spend some time with both Judith and Edward and shared great conversations with them.
It was a great experience staying with Judith and Edward, I look forward to seeing them again in the future.
I was happyto find Judith and Edwards home close to Mt St Louis (15 MIN) so i could ski and not have to worry about driving back to the city right away. They were friendly and accommodating hosts. The house was comfortable. It was very nice to be able to have use of the rec room. I found a nice restaurant, Loobies, only a 5 minute walk away that had hearty inexpensive meals. Also a gas station and grocery store were equally close. Thanks for the coffee and for being so flexible.
Judith and Edward were kind enough to wait for me arriving late at night, and very welcoming. The whole house was clean, and very comfortable. I stayed at their house for a night to go to camping in Algonquin park, and it turned out a perfect stay since I did not have to drive too much to get there in the morning. Thank you Judith for your extra work for breakfast!
I was only passing through ... what a pity! Because Judith and Edward welcome me warmly and I had a good night in her guest-room. At the next morning a famous coffee on the big sunny terrace with Judith.
We are a couple of empty nesters who enjoy sharing the peaceful, natural setting of our large, comfortable home. Non-smokers with one small non-allergenic and very friendly dog. We believe in healthy (vegetarian) living and enjoy organic food and flower gardening, snowshoeing, and getting out into nature. We live and travel simply.
