Sequoia Beach Dreamery -- "The Best Getaway We've Ever Taken" --- A few steps from your own beach on Big Austin Creek, 'The Dreamery' is that rare vacation rental where you feel like an honored guest.
Complimentary welcome gifts, flower arrangements, and extra touches, all highlight the attention paid to making your visit a memorable one. --- Tastefully decorated with Craftsman detail and Japanese art, the interior features a romantic wood-burning fireplace, gourmet kitchen with a 5-burner gas range, and rich redwood paneling. --- Picture windows offer water views from virtually every room. Light, airy bedrooms open onto a spacious deck overlooking the beach, creek, and a great spot for swimming.
The 1/2-acre of privacy is graced with soaring old-growth redwoods that predate Columbus, lots of light, and a peaceful Japanese-Zen garden. --- Visit this quiet sanctuary, fill your lungs with fresh country air, and feel THE CALM.
The Dreamery on Big Austin Creek is close to where the Russian River meets the Mighty Pacific Ocean at Jenner-by-the-Sea. ---- The cottage is in a protected 'banana belt' micro-climate -- just one coastal range removed from the ocean.
Cazadero is off the beaten path, yet is close enough to enjoy the coastline (15 min), the Russian River (10 min), and wine country attractions. Santa Rosa airport is 45 min. away and it's only 98 min. to the Golden Gate Bridge (I timed it!). ---- Alaska/Horizon Air has daily non-stops into Santa Rosa airport, just 45 minutes away.
You'll be close to world-class amenities and everything this eco-adventure region of N. Calif. has to offer. ---- Have it all ... or get away from it all ... your choice.

The Swquoia Beach Dreamery was such a unique experience. The level of attention to details is amazing -- as you keep looking around especially outside, you see more and more little things that add to the beauty of the place. You have a beautiful creek in the backyard! And a hot tub where you can look up and see the moon rising from the tall trees. Mesmerizing place.
Beds are very comfortable, living room gives you ample and comfortable space, and the kitchen has everything you need. We could not ask for more.
The owner was very kind to send us details about the area, trails, etc in advance. And, the staff at River Homes Russian River Vacation Homes were a joy to do business with.
All in all, an A+ experience. You won't be disappointed!
The Dreamery was even more wonderful than we had expected it would be based upon the pictures. In addition to being marvelously situated directly beneath a stand of ancient redwoods along a quiet bend of Austin Creek, the house itself is a real treat. I felt like I was back in Japan! The decorations throughout the house are thoroughly Japanese, the book shelves are full of zen literature, and the gorgeous floral arrangements feel like they deserve to be placed inside traditional tokonoma. We loved lingering over every detail of the house -- every piece of furniture, every little cabinet knob, every scroll painting contributes to a highly unified effect.
Truly, life was perfect during our three night stay in late December. The wood stove worked efficiently (so did the central heat), the kitchen was fully functional, and the down comforter was heaven-sent. We enjoyed the hot tub each night, to be sure, but we also enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable couches with books in hand. The outdoor shower was rejuvenating.
The house was clean as a bone whistle, as well as being totally dry (no mildew). It really does feel like a "retreat" -- partly because it is so lovingly positioned beneath the shelter of the redwoods. It is also a short drive out to the coast, to a number of local vineyards, and to the awesome little towns of Duncans Creek, Guerneville and Occidental...
For us, the Dreamery was well worth the expense and we enthusiastically recommend the experience.
