Thank you, Kristen! I am so happy that you enjoyed your trip to Cayman, and I love your new Airbnb profile photo! Looks like you found a few starfish friends in Cayman. :) Come back and see us again soon!

Hi Mary- thanks for the review! I just want to note to others that the only issue with wifi, is that we have to top-it-up with credit before new guests arrive because we never know how much credit the last guest used. It only takes about 2 minutes to top-up because we just go online and buy more credit.

Also, I always suggest that people rent a car because there are so many wonderful places to see in Cayman. You can walk to the beach, grocery store and Camana Bay from our condo, but venturing out to explore West Bay and East End is too much fun to miss. Driving out to East End is a scenic 30-45 minute drive, and there are several beautiful and historic places to stop and explore along the way.

Laying in a hammock and swimming in the ocean at Rum Point, while enjoying Conch Fritters and Mud Slides is on my Cayman ultimate relaxation must-do list. :)

Whew- I had to read this a few times, since the guest’s review was all over the place. Allow me to break it down for you with my comments below, so that you can move on with planning your Cayman vacation. Thx!

- Carrie was an excellent host
- The sinks, tubs, toilets, and linens were all clean
- The location was great, close to everything
- Everything we slept in, bathed in, or otherwise touched and used were clean
- She offered to have someone come and clean the place the next day, and it was nice she offered (this request was declined by the guest)
- In summary, we had a good experience overall, and Carrie was great
- I would definitely stay there again
*The walls have been painted, so you are welcome to stay with us again….just remember this is Airbnb, so you are staying at our home.

- The WiFi wasn't working when we arrived, but I sent Carrie an email and she added credit to get it back up and running within an hour
*Note: I had the WiFi working in 5 minutes, but I guess this fall into “within an hour”
- I was only able to send basic text messages and emails using it. I could not email photos, nor upload pics to Facebook, nor watch Netflix movies on my iPad, the speed was very slow, though this is no fault of Carrie's.
*Note: You are correct, and slow WiFi on a Caribbean island is not my fault…this guest lived and worked in Cayman before, so he should know that the WiFi is not as fast on an island as it is in the US and Canada.
- Guest complained of dirty walls/doors/cupboards
*Note: The walls and doors have been freshly painted, and all guests that have stayed with us BEFORE this guest arrived have raved about the cleanliness of the condo.

I have stayed at Cayman hotels numerous times when the WiFi wasn't working at all, and the TV regularly goes out, if there is any bad weather or cloud coverage. It’s a small price to pay for living in paradise, and most people go to the Caribbean to DISCONNECT. The WiFi speed also depends on the time of day that you use the WiFi, and how many other people are using it on the island. We get WiFi from the MAYA-1, which is a big fiber pipe that travels through the ocean from Florida throughout the Caribbean.
Google MAYA-1, it’s pretty fascinating! I will take slow WiFi over no WiFi any day.

Hi Annie! I am so happy that you enjoyed staying in our condo during your Cayman vacation, and I hope that you celebrated a happy Anniversary. It's funny that you said the space is huge in your review...our condo is a good size, but you're probably comparing it to the apartment sizes in New York City. :) Did you check out my closet? It's big enough to be it's own bedroom! Come back anytime, we'd love to have you. Thx!
