For over 20 years I have been an executive coach and management consultant to leaders and professionals, which is very rewarding. I enjoy meeting people, walking, traveling, cooking and knitting. I am keen on environmental stewardship, grow a few tomatoes, blueberries and citrus fruit. I used to make one-of-a-kind fused glass serving plates.

Barbara is an excellent host! She made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. I stayed there for 10 days and even with my schedule of rising early and coming back at varying times in the evening, she was almost always there to greet me with a smile. We enjoyed nice chats together when time allowed and she even cooked a wonderful breakfast for me on the weekend! She was considerate of my privacy, but also welcomed me to hang out with her if I wanted and had the time. She offered to have some breakfast basics in the fridge for me which made rising early easier as I didn't need to figure out what to do for breakfast each day. All in all I had a successful trip and she was a very big part of that!
The room is as advertised and the photo very accurate - the bed is really comfortable and I slept well. I highly recommend staying with Barbara!
Barbara provided the perfect sanctuary for Michael, my son, at a very hectic time and I am looking forward to staying with her when I visit San Francisco. Here are Michael's thoughts about his stay with Barbara: "Brand new to San Francisco -- looking for a place to stay -- just starting a new job, Barbara welcomed me into her beautiful, peaceful home. She, Mocha and Sammy ( her two poodles) and I became fast friends. My room was very comfortable and quiet and the home is impeccably maintained. Barbara has a vast knowledge of the area and goes out of her way to help. She serves a great healthy breakfast featuring smoothies and one evening she served a delicious dinner for the two of us. Anyone will enjoy staying here. FIVE STARS all the way."
Very friendly and welcoming. The listing was accurate. The neighborhood wa beautiful and safe.
Barbara is a welcoming and very personable host. It is obvious that she likes to cook as her breakfasts are amazingly good, healthy, and ample. She is knowledgeable about many topics and a great conversationalist. Her two poodles are very friendly and playful, especially Mocha, the smaller one. Her home is clean, comfortable, and affords a nice view of San Francisco Bay and Mt. Tamalpais. The room is good-sized, the single bed is very comfortable and the bedding and towels are fresh and clean. A 5-Star Airbnb stay!
Barbara was an amazing, perfect host! She made me feel incredibly comfortable in her home. She always made sure that I was eating enough and that I wasn't cold. I felt more like part of the family, than just a house guest. Great breakfasts and lots of healthy fruit! The room is super comfortable with lots of light and the wifi connection is great. I really enjoyed sharing the house with Sammy and Mocha, the cutest little puppies ever. The neighborhood is beautiful and I felt really safe walking around. Easily accessible by bus and the BART station is close too. I definitely recommend staying here, there are some great places to visit nearby. I had a wonderful and relaxing stay! :)
Barbara once again was the perfect host...provided great dinners and breakfast. Her house is very comfortable even in cold and rainy days. Barbara also was helpful in transporting me to the Bart station when it was raining. An added bonus is that she is a business/personal coach and has great insights.
Again, I stayed with Barbara and she made me very welcome and comfortable. I had tiring days but was able to relax and unwind at her wonderful home. Thanks Barbara.
