Everything was perfect. Location is really good, the apartment is super nice, comfortable, clean, quiet... We enjoyed our days there and Derek was the perfect host. We'll repeat!
Silvia, Derek, and Ollie were amazing! The location was perfect for visiting Venice and the bikes were an added plus. Love love love the space and the hosts were more than hospitable. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to LA!
Derek's place was my first Airbnb stay, and it set a high standard. The guest house is quiet, clean, and full of nifty details (atrium shower, cork floors, sliding doors for open-air feel). Derek stayed up late to give me a warm welcome. He's a pleasure to talk with and full of local knowledge.
You'll feel like a Venice local in the quiet neighborhood. Street parking is plentiful, even when I arrived late at night after most residents are in for the evening.
As we arrived in LAX, Derek had contacted us with details of how to find the property and access. There is on road parking across from the property or on the Main Street, we had no problem parking in the 3 days we were here. The property was exactly as described, and had everything needed for our stay. There's a plentiful supply of towels and toiletries are also provided. The bed was really comfy!! Derek and Sylvia gave us hints and tips, which were great. There's lots of supermarkets and eateries around and about. We enjoyed an evening at Venice Beach Wines on Rose Avenue, would recommend! It's an ideal base, very spacious and a short drive to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Overall thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.
We had the perfect getaway stay at this perfectly located guesthouse. Derek and his wife were lovely hosts and we would definitely come back and stay here again! The guesthouse is even nicer than the pictures, and we especially enjoyed sleeping with all the windows open to enjoy the sounds of the babbling brook and chirping birds in the morning. About 2 miles from the beach, which easily to bike using the two bikes provided. Lots of fun restaurants and wine bars nearby.
