About This Listing
Our comfortable duplex is walking distance from Coventry, Cedar-Fairmount AND Cedar-Lee (great eating/shopping spots). It easily fits at least 4 with the privacy of your own room with a lock. Enjoy our well equipped kitchen and spacious living area!
We have tons of space. More room than one married couple needs, really. The guest bedroom is two twin beds that are each trundle beds. So it has the potential to sleep four comfortably. It has a small closet, two chairs on either side of a bedside table, sets of towels, an extra blanket and a succulent terrarium. It is the room in our house with the most natural light.
There is also option for the twin bed in our office but that's not as ideal.
If you really have lots of people we also have a pullout couch on the first floor.
Everything but our bedroom (the whole 3rd floor). There is a full bathroom on the second floor across from the guest bedroom. Kitchen, family room, dining room, laundry in the basement. Parking in the driveway as well as ample street parking.
Interaction with Guests
If we are in town you would probably see a good amount of us. We eat in most of the time because we like to cook. You might get a free breakfast if you're interested. If we're not in town you won't see us.
We absolutely LOVE where we live. We walk to Coventry Village for church, to eat, for (organic artisan) fro yo, etc. It's fun. Good night life. We ride our bikes to Little Italy. Obviously cute and delicious stuff there. We walk to Cedar-Fairmount for LUNA Bakery or to go out to eat(a MUST visit. literally everything is delicous). Cedar Lee has good restaurants, the Historical movie theater, awesome Mitchell's chocolates and our library.
We are right on the 32 bus route. You can get a bus to university circle and take a train into the city. You can also get a bus to university circle and then take the health line into the city. We take public transportation when we want to go to Ohio City or going downtown for Browns, Indians or Cavs games cause traffic can get crazy. Around our house we walk and bike.
We keep our house nice and clean so the same would hopefully go for you. Obviously we won't be in your room while you are here so you could keep that messy but as far as common space goes, tidiness is appreciated.
The host canceled this reservation 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My husband and I enjoyed staying at Matte's and Alexa's very much. We stayed for five days without any problems. Alexa sent us a detailed email with all the information we needed to get into the house and park. Our room was spacious, bright and clean. So was the bathroom. The rest of the house is very well kept. We liked the neighborhood and the fact the the house was located very close to the places we needed to go to (Cleveland Clinic, Beachwood and University Heights). Alexa was very friendly and she made us feel very comfortable. We would definitely recommend her house to our friends.
We were very comfortable in the duplex and was great for my parents as they wanted a more homelike feel rather than a hotel. The hosts were very friendly and also accommodating for an additional guest (parking and setting up another bed). Overall, we would recommend this to anyone who is visiting Cleveland!
Great hosts. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, had a cozy and comfortable home and made great food recommendations. All you could ask for.
About the Host, Alexa
Couldn't live without Jesus, crossfit, books, laughing, dancing, traveling, anything that keeps me moving.
Within the past year I've traveled to St. John, Ashland and Bend, Oregon, Austin, Washington D.C., Boston, biked through Bovaria (Germany), Lake Como (Italy), Lucerne (Switzerland), and Nice (France). 2014 was a big year! I have dreams of seeing Thailand and the Norwegian fjords. Iceland and Croatia. Someday I'll get my husband to Sevilla to meet my wonderful host family from study abroad during university. In the next year we're planning on a bike trip through Italy from Verona to Venice, a long weekend in Croatia, a family trip to San Fran and wine country. Cheers to 2015!
As far as traveling goes, I can be whatever you want me to be, as long as we get to go places.
I don't have a life motto. To be honest I think mantras are silly. But lots of stuff moves me.
