My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Charlaine in Jersey City. Charlaine was an extremely welcome and friendly host. She was helpful with directions, advice, and assistance in getting the TV back in working order after we accidentally pressed a wrong button. My wife was especially delighted with the company of the beautiful cat who lives in the house. The apartment itself is very comfortable although the furniture is a bit spare. The kitchen facilities were excellent, which was important to us as we prefer to cook most of the time. The area is a bit gritty but we felt very safe. Parking was available on the street; it generally took about 4-5 minutes to find a good space as one has to pay attention to alternate side of the street street cleaning. All in all, we were satisfied with our experience. In fact, it was a real bargain.
We had a very nice stay at Charlaines apartment. Very nice neighborhood, close to the ferry to Manhattan.
My sister and I stayed with Charlaine for a week in November 14 and she was a really good host, both during our visit and with the communication before. She welcomed us with beautiful cakes with milk and juice in the fridge! whihc was very much welkcomed after our long journey from the UK. She gave us little nuggest of information to help our stay go alot smoother. There is free wifi which works well, decent TV channels and all homely gadets you would need including hari dryer, ironing, cooker, tea towels - the kitchen was really well stocked with everything you need. There were plenty of CLEAN towels, the apartment was really clean and so was the bed linen. Would highly recommend and stay here again! many thanks
The apartment was great, cozy, very clean, plenty of towels, crisp clean linens, blueberry muffins, coffee and milk. The host was very friendly and made us feel at home.
The apartment was very clean and charlene was waiting for us when we got there, she showed us the apt, had milk, juice and (awesome) muffins waiting for us. The apt has everything u need to have a confortable stay. It takes about 25 mins to walk to the path (7-10dlls taxi ride) and from there about 20 mins to get to NY, she was very nice to let us stay a few hours more cause our flight left later. So its a pretty good deal considering how much you would pay if u stayed in ny. :)
The house is located in a quiet suburb. You will find everything you need In the apartment. There are washing and drying machines, an iron, a hair dryer, etc.
It takes you about 20 minutes to get to Grove street. There are many cafes on your way where you can have a cheap breakfast or dinner. The big Pathmark is also there.
Charlaine is a very hospitable and friendly hostess.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about me. My family and I have been living in New Jersey, Jersey City for over a decade now and we cannot think of a better place to be. I too love to travel and have been all over Europe, Asia and Africa. My favorite place that I have visited is Tahiti…it just felt like heaven to me. I am a city girl and just love the idea that I live so close to Manhattan and I can be at the theatre in less than 20 minutes.
