Downtown Quepos and its bus station is a 15 minute walk away from the property, although the way back in is uphill. Public Taxis reach the property and you can call them in from the house phone.

Elena and her friend Elky were very welcoming. We arrived and were met at the house and shown how everything worked and where everything was located. The house is stunning. It is very modern and clean. It has everything you can imagine you may need including a wonderful kitchen with granite countertops. The house was very comfortable without air conditioning but it was great to have the option of climate control in each room. Our bedroom was very nice, clean, cool, and had a nice view of the well manicured backyard. There are a pack of extremely friendly dogs that welcome you as you come and go. They often were hanging out in the front yard. We woke up our last day and found a group of squirrel monkeys crawling all over the trees in front of the house. Very cool! I cannot say enough about how nice Elena was during our stay and at check out. We were very sad to leave. I would definitely come back and stay again (hopefully soon)! One note is that I would recommend if you are driving here, try to get a high clearance vehicle or 4x4 because the roads all around Quepos/Manuel Antonio are rough rides.
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Libertad in Qupeos. The drive to get to the house requires you to go up a steep hill and down another one, can be a little tricky.
The house was emmaculate and spacious for 4 people. It's close to town & a short drive to Manuel Antonio. I would definitely stay here again.
My girlfriend and I just returned from a 10-day trip to Costa Rica, and we stayed at the Casa Libertad for the two nights we were in Quepos. The house was amazing! It looked even better than it did in the photos, and we really enjoyed returning to the home after a long day of activities. The drive up the hills to get to the house was very easy in the SUV we rented, and the directions for getting there were extremely accurate.
Elena was an awesome host. She was very helpful in providing tips about the area, she was always available if we needed anything, and we couldn't get enough of her friendly dogs! Especially our favorite, Chuleta!
Overall, the Casa Libertad is an excellent place to stay in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area, and we would love to return someday!
A wonderful home! Fantastic location, clean, excellent views, lovable dogs (and cat) and an accommodating host. Muy perfecto.
I cannot recommend Elena's home highly enough. We had an absolutely fantastic experience here. Elena was accommodating, laid back and helpful. She gave us great advice and recommendations, and her roommate Elky was extremely nice as well. Their animals were so friendly and fun to be around.
Casa Libertad is modern, clean and beautiful. It is right in the heart of the jungle – we even woke up one morning to a family of 15-20 monkeys and were able to feed them bananas! The house had a full kitchen which we took advantage of. The shower is clean and very nice.
Small note – it is completely essential to rent a 4x4 here. The roads in Costa Rica are unpaved and extremely steep and windy. We were thankful to arrive to her home before the sun went down – it was crucial to navigate the drive up in the daylight the first time we arrived.
This place was great. It was well hidden and in the hills with a cool view but very close to downtown Quepos. 5 minute drive. Also the hike down La Macha was really fun.. Manuel Antonio national park is only a 15 minute drive away as well. We preferred staying at Elena's place much more because it was away from the busy tourism. The place itself is very clean, modern and spacious. We would recommend to anyone who wants a unique experience in a great location but wants a bit more peace and quiet. We saw some Monkey's running along the trees a few times in the morning as well.
Overall 5 stars.
Maybe the best place to be in Quepos & Manuel Antonio. The house is 15 minutes far from Manuel Antonio's beach (the best) & 4 minutes far from Quepos downtown & Marina.
Elena welcomed us as no one. She was always available to respond our requests and she advised us the best places to be visited at day/night.
The house is just magic, with an amazing view to the Pacific.
And the dream come truth...
