I was staying in the apparment for one month.Really enjoyed. Michael, the manager, was very helpful. Place had all I needed. Didn't like ikea towels and bedding. Would stay again for sure!

Javier was great on communication leading up to the booking as thereafter too. Check in was smooth. The apartment is exactly as described. It was perfect, large, clean and in a great location. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in the heart of south beach.
We did a small road trip the last day we were there and please note you will most likely have to pay for parking either metre parking or in a parking garage if you are planning on having a car while you are there. Overnight parking is anywhere from $30-$40. Parking metres are around $1.75ph. Flat fare to and from the airport in a taxi is $32 plus tip.

Smooth and better than a hotel!
The place was very clean, great location, all perfect.
It was very simple to get there and locate the place. Easy access through a code system.
Perfect start to a Florida vacation. As I am a first time AirBnb user, this was a great start and I will be using AirBnb more often now!
Javier's apartment is in a GREAT location... although the entry way and third floor smelled of cigarette smoke (possibly drifting up from a permanent tenant on the first floor?), the apartment was clean and the bathroom VERY clean. Good price. Good location. Good host. Good times. Thank you Javier.
Our experience at Javier's was just OK. First off, we had a reservation for a king bed a month before our trip and had a queen upon arrival. When we asked Javier if there was another room w/ king, he said no and wouldn't adjust the price for what we had reserved. He only offered us to cancel our reservation if we weren't happy with the queen. Secondly, the internet went in and out, which was frustrating since my fiance had work during the day and kept getting kicked offline. Mickel (on-site manager) is very helpful, but is only there until 5pm, and I don't think Javier is ever there. So if something happens after 5pm, you're out of luck unless it's an emergency. Our apt was on the 1st floor and near the back of the house by the back patio. The walls are thin, we could hear our neighbors do EVERYTHING and we heard everyone who was on the back patio - we rested horribly. (The room numbers, for example, #301, has nothing to do with which floor you're on! We thought we'd be on the 3rd floor, which was why we reserved #301, but that wasn't the case).
The TV did not have nearly as many channels as we had hoped. We ended up watching TV or movies on our laptops.
The place was clean, in a very good location (2 blocks from Espanola Way and a 10 min walk to the beach). Parking spots were a plus, but there are only 4 and it's a very tight squeeze. If you are there on a weekend, the spots get taken up very quickly and street parking is minimal. You have to get a parking pass with Mickel for $10 a day, and I don't think he's even there on the weekend, so this could cause problems.
The apartment has the bare minimum (esp in the kitchen, literally two forks, two plates, two bowls, etc.) but it was enough for what we needed. Though the place looked very clean, it smelled quite musty - even after leaving windows open to air out.
Air conditioner is only in living room and is VERY loud. We left it on during the day when we were out to cool off the place, but had to turn it off at night because it was so loud.
Secure entry (you need a code to get in the front door, and another code to get into your apartment) was great - no need to remember your key.
We probably wouldn't return.
This is a great place to stay, especially if you want to be near South Beach!
Javier was a great host! The entire process was seamless and very convenient. The place was exactly what was portrayed in the pictures. The suite was clean, well-decorated, and the linens were fresh. Upon arrival the suite was cool because the AC had been turned on prior to our arrival. The bed was very comfortable which was an added bonus. Everything was within walking distance, bars, stores, bus stations and even a bike rental station. Overall, I would definitely recommend this host. I will be staying here again when I return to SoBe.
