The Space

Steps to every major subway line in the city. Surrounded by excellent restaurants. Next to Police Athletic Club (Safest street in the City). Hundreds of great Bars. Same Block as the largest book store in the world. 10 mins to Midtown. 10 mins to Wall St. Best Location in the city.

The apartment has a flat screen T.V. and wireless internet along with a spacious balcony with a bbq to relax on with views to New Jersey and Brooklyn - You can see just how wide Manhattan is! Excellent spot to chill and have a drink before calling it a night.

The apartment has a spacious, clean bathroom with a tub big enough to relax in. It has a kitchen with a fridge you can keep whatever you want in. It has very comfortable leather chair and ottoman along with a pearl white comfortable sofa.

The loft above the kitchen (Ladder going up to it in the photo) is spacious and has a queen matress with plenty of pillows and clean sheets. This is where you will stay. I have a bedroom at the end of the apartment.

The apartment is on the 7th floor so it is far enough away from the street to get a great nights sleep. But don't worry, there is an elevator! From your clean and peaceful loft you have remote Air Conditioning for whatever temp. you like to sleep in.

I am new to AirB and B but I gurantee you won't be disappointed. I have lived in the city for 4 years and am a wealth of information on restaurants, bars and museums. I work long hours in Midtown so am not in the apt. from 7:30 am until 6:30pm. I'm not at home much but I like to keep a clean place and only ask that you do the same and are respectful.

No guests - Unless you think you might marry them! In which case I am prepared to make exception on a case by case basis. Otherwise, you can do what you want.

  • The flat is perfectly located next to Union Sq and a few subway stations. It's a very cosy place with high ceilings and a balcony (if you happen to smoke).

Andrew was a great host and would not hesitate to book with him again!

  • Had a fantastic time staying with Andrew. Lovely apartment in A1 location. Host is great fun. We had some nice conversations over wine. Made by short business trip an enjoyable one and despite my busy schedule, Andrew helped add a bit of local NY flavor and spices to my stay. Would love to return soon!

  • The apartament is in a perfect location, very close to Union Square. One minute to the metro station, absolutely ideal to move everywhere, also walking. You can reach any place of interest in a few minute walking. Andrew is a very kind host, you can ask him for information about good places to have lunch. He is always at work, but when I met him he offers me to go out and join for a drink. Unfortunately I was always too busy for that. I recomend his loft if you want to be in the centre of NY.

  • Friendliest host in town! Great location too. The apartment is clean and has a comfortable living space, with an attractive balcony. The mezzanine bed is cozy but really just for sleeping. Not recommended to people averse to ladders. Excellent choice for passers-through.

I'm from England and love living in New York City. I am happy to host you and love showing people all the places that I have liked and come to know over my four years here. I can recommend anything from Michelin star restaurants a block away to hole-in-the-wall burrito and pizza places. I have a degree in Psychology and Philosophy but have been in the ship brokerage industry for the last 4 years. I lived in Madrid for a year and and travelled extensively throughout Europe which I enjoyed tremendously. Although, the most interesting place I have been to is probably Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan on the ancient silk road. I have a quite a few good friends in the City and I'm open to taking people staying with me along to parties or to see bands on the weekends. Now and then I meet someone cool and we'll go out and have a few drinks and I'll show them the city. Since I am at work from 7:30am until 6pm I am never around in the day so it's only evenings that I am around. My experiences so far have been great and I really do like the concept of Airbnb. I look forward to meeting you and sharing a few stories and some single malt scotch or a glass of wine if time permits. Safe travels.
