The space

Ideal for Business travelers and families alike. Modern touch in a traditional Edwardian home. The house has 4 small bedrooms + a small den, a backyard with 2 decks. Contact us with any questions.

THE PLACE:
This is a “must see" to appreciate all the upgrades and finishes in this 1100 sqft tri-level contemporary chic home. It is nestled in the heart of Noe Valley one of San Francisco most desirable neighborhood and home of many famous Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. The house is a short 3 minutes walk (we timed it) to 24th street to get your morning cappuccino from one of the cafes or have dinner in one of the great restaurants - There, you will find many fine food markets, shops, ice-cream parlors, juice bar, a candy store, cafes, bakeries,flower shops etc....

The 1100 sqft home has clean lines, high ceilings, hardwood floors, open floor plan with a great flow. An updated kitchen opens up to the formal dining area that is perfect for entertaining while preparing meals. The kitchen features a classic 6-burner O'Keefe & Merritt gas range and oven, Bosch and LG appliances, plenty of storage space and a deep farm sink.

THE BEDROOMS:
The house has 4 bedrooms + an additional den adjacent to one of the bedrooms that can be used for extra sleeping.

- BR1 sleeps 2 - The upstairs loft-like open bedroom has a king size bed.

- DEN sleeps 2 - The den is adjacent to the upstairs open-plan loft bedroom and has two twin beds. The slanted ceiling can be challenging for really tall people but kids LOVE the hiding nook.

- BR2 sleeps 2 - The main floor garden side bedroom is all windows and has a queen size bed.

- BR3 sleeps 2 - The main floor street side (small bedroom) has a single bed with a trundle that doubles it into 2 singles.

- BR4 sleeps 4 - The downstairs open floor plan bedroom ( access is through the spiral stair case and no door) has a queen bed and a queen size futon.

-We rent out some rooms separately or together and depending on how many people are staying in the room, we will discuss the price when request is made.
-The house is located on a busy street so please watch out for cars especially with young children. Parking is not bad compared to other parts of the city.

GARAGE:
There is a small garage used for storage. You may park in the driveway as long as your are not blocking the sidewalk or you will get a ticket. Hard to believe, there is plenty of free street parking. Just watch for street cleaning days. Signs are on the sidewalks.

BACKYARD:
There is a spacious backyard with two decks. The deck next to the house has a gas barbecue grill and an outdoor dining table.

The second deck in the back of the backyard has a TINY finished cottage with a desk and a day bed. Because it is away from the house, it is quiet and great for an afternoon nap or some quiet work.

BASEMENT:
Nothing much interesting there, except that it is were the brand new washer and dryer are.

The spiral staircase may be a bit challenging to very small kids but my kids as toddlers were fine going up & down the stairs as long as they hold on to the rail.

There's a space upstairs for young kids to play
With some toys & games. You may request other items & I'll see if I have them.

Guest access

-The bedroom you're renting is your domain. You also have access to the kitchen,bathroom on the main floor, living room and deck. You do not have access to the other bedrooms whether they're occupied or not.
-If renting the entire house,you have access to the whole house including the cottage in the back.

Interaction with guests

We love to meet guests and sit down for coffee if they're open to it. But we also respect their privacy. We will be there to answer any questions. We are mostly gone during the day and come back late, but we can make the time if requested. As we are long-time SF residents we can point you to restaurants, sites or tips on how to get around like a local...

The neighborhood

Noe Valley is one of San Francisco's most desirable and safe neighborhood. It is filled with a mix of Edwardian and Victorian houses. It is a wonderful, lively place. We recommend hanging out at the Saturday morning farmer's market on 24th street. Locals are friendly, approachable and laid back.

Getting around

Noe Valley is central within San Francisco. So most sights are accessible from there - feel free to ask us how to get around. There are many alternative to traditional taxis and transportation in San Francisco (like Lyft or Uber).

- Union Square - 3.9 miles - 15 min by car - 20 minutes by public transportation.

- Moscone Convention Center 3.7 miles - 11 min by car - 20 minutes by public transportation.

- Fisherman's Wharf 5.1 miles - 16 min by car - 40 minutes by public transportation.

- Castro District - 1 mile - 4 min by car (you can walk but there is a steep hill there)

- Mission District - 1 mile - 4 min by car.

- Golden Gate Park - 2.3 mi - 6 min by car - 25 min by public transportation

- Cable car (on California and Van Ness) 3.4 miles - 11 min by car - 25 min public transportation.

- Airport (SFO) - 20 minutes by car.

- Close to the main freeway to the peninsula and Silicon Valley.

- On the route of most company buses (Apple Bus, (website hidden) Bus...) down to Silicon Valley.

- The house is conveniently located close to the Muni public transportation system.

- There's a bus stop just half a block away.

Other things to note

Please have a completed airbnb profile and tell us a little bit about yourselves and what brings you to San Francisco in your request.

Please let us know if you are coming for a romantic getaway , a family vacation or getaway with friends or a business trip to Silicon Valley so we can suggest places to visit and things to do.

Absolutely NO additional guests, parties or large gatherings are permitted. Doing so will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

PLEASE COMMUNICATE: We would like to know about your party and your intended use of the house – We ask at a minimum that you fill out your profile on Airbnb and get verified via the usual social networks. If you only send a request, for some dates, we will ask you to fill out the information before we approve it.

-PLEASE NO SMOKING/NO PETS AND NO SHOES in the house please.

-Events and Parties are absolutely NOT PERMITTED.

Important note: Usually check in times for vacation rentals is 4:00 PM. If you arrive and we still need some more time to finish cleaning the apartment/house you will be kindly asked to drop your luggage off take the keys with you and come back later. We hope you don't mind!

QUIET HOUR POLICY: QUIET HOURS are defined as hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays and from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM on weekends. No loud noises that could disturb the neighbors from quiet enjoyment of their homes are allowed during this time. No guests allowed that are not 'registered guests - e.g.- no parties or events allowed. We also ask that you take loud conversation inside during these hours.

LIVING ROOM : Please limit the wine drinking and other types of food that could stain to the kitchen and dining area.

UPSTAIRS: No food and drink (except for water) allowed upstairs because of the white carpet and all the bedding.

KITCHEN:
Please help yourselves to spices and whatever oils and condiments you need for cooking.
Before using, please check the garbage disposal for any small utensils that may have slipped down. The small spoons in particular often slip down there.

GRILL :
You will need to turn the gas on before use. Please remember to turn it off when you are finished. Don't forget to please clean after each use.

ENTERTAINING :
Small dinners are welcomed and encouraged. However, absolutely NO parties or large gatherings are permitted. Doing so will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

TOYS:
We are happy to share our toys. We only ask that you treat them kindly and return them to the locations in which they were found when you are finished playing with them.

ACCESS TO PREMISES:
The owner reserves the right to enter the residence at reasonable times to inspect,make necessary repairs, supply services or show it to prospective residents,purchasers,mortgages, workmen or contractors.

SECURITY DEPOSIT:
$500 refundable deposit is not applied toward rent. It is refundable provided the following provisions are met:
-No damage is done to the property/house or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
-All keys provided are left in the drawer. There is a $25 charge for lost key.
-No linens or property belongings are lost or damaged.
-There is no excessive/additional cleaning required above standard service.
-Garbage and recycling shall be placed in their proper bins and only our own. Any trash that is placed in our neighbor's bins next door will be charged $25 to be paid to our neighbors who are seniors.

- PARKING is not provided but there are plenty of street parking available.
You may also park a small car in the driveway as long as it's not blocking the driveway for the pedestrians or you will get a ticket.

DAMAGE OR LOSS OF TENANTS, GUESTS OR THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY:
The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illness or death that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm to themselves or to others whom they invite to the premises, which arises from their use of the premises.

CHECKING OUT:
Check out is before 11am unless prior arrangements have been made.
Please strip beds and place all used linens and towels in the laundry room.
Please load and run the dishwasher.
Please leave the key in the right drawer of the red console table in the living room. The door can be locked behind you on your way out.

We understand that accidents happen. Please let us know if anything was broken or damaged during your stay.

We appreciate you respecting our home and our rules, and please communicate openly with us and we will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, productive and enjoyable.

This house made our company retreat so special! The house was beautiful and pristine, and incredibly spacious for the 6 of us. We all could come together for chats and meals, and get our own space. The neighborhood was perfect too. We'd definitely love to come back!

Alexandra communicated with us throughout, made check-in a breeze, and followed up once we were in to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is gorgeous, modern, and had plenty of room for two families with 5 kids total from 16 to 6. Very conveniently located with lots of restaurants, grocery, and night life around. We had an awesome stay and would highly recommend the place!

The house was beautiful and spacious and located in a very quiet neighborhood. It fit 10 of us comfortably. It's also very convenience to uber/lyft everywhere. Olivier and Alexandra were very responsible to messages. I would stay here again and would highly recommend it.
