This house up the hill had the best views, a hidden gem! it was clean, had all the amenities and was very safe. Plus you are 2 minutes to the town and beaches.

The place is as seen in the photos. To access the place you need a 4WD, but it's worth it. The view of the sea is amazing. Harry has contacted us to make sure we get to the Jungalow. Maria has been very kind from beginning to end, she has worried if we needed anything. I hope I can go again in the future.

The person taken care of the place was very nice and he did a good job by showing us the place. However, the communication with the owner was not always very efficient. The washing machine was a nice bonus as well as the variety of fruits that were left for us. The patio that offers a beautiful view on the Pacific ocean is in our opinion the owner's piece de resistance. However, the place needs TLC. For example, many of the window screens are ripped or detached. Some were repaired with duct tape but often unsuccessful. The kitchen sink barely drains and the countertops were not particularly clean. From the outside, the wooden doors of the second bedroom could not remain closed and were easily opened by the wind. However, that room cast metal door did lock it just did not prevent critters from going in. Note that, the exterior door of the central part of the home did not successfully lock when closing the door like the other doors but can be force to lock with a key. I can't say that this place is one of our favorites but it has definitely the potential, with some TLC, of being a true gem.

If you are renting or driving a 4 Wheel Drive Vehicle, you have got to check this place out!! The view from the patio!!!! Simply amazing!!! The house has everything you need and the location is so close to the beach it can't be beat!! The kitchen had everything we needed and the washing machine was so great to have, plenty of clothes lines to dry everything. Ample amount of towels and the shower provided warm enough water for a great shower. You can hear the birds and monkeys in the jungle around you; pair that with being able to hear the Ocean, what more could you want. Don't take the 4 Wheel drive part lightly, the "road" up to the house cannot be done unless you have an ATV or vehicle that has ground clearance and 4X4 capabilities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We read some of the reviews that criticized the condition of the house, I think their expectations were not set accordingly. This is not a resort, it is an amazing home with a view to die for! Thank you Harry and Thank You to Maria for the ease of checking in and out!! Don't pass this one up

Thanks for your great review and we are thrilled to know you enjoyed it so much - the house is in the jungle and occasional four and eight legged visitors are just part of the experience sometimes!

The house was great! Perched on top of a hill for great sunset views, but still a close drive to Santa Teresa (make sure you have a 4x4!), the house feels very private, safe and clean. We didn't have any issues with scorpions or facilities not working as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Maria was our contact person there and she was amazing! She went above and beyond what I expect from an AirBnB host. Thanks for making our trip that much better!

The view is beautiful and offers not only amazing sunsets but also monkeys, which we really enjoyed. Ty, the main person of contact, was super friendly and helpful. He was very prompt and always available for advice on local places/things to do. That being said, there were some issues with this place. On our first night, we encountered 3 scorpions. One of which was huge. There were dead bugs on most of the cooking supplies and even in the tea kettle. The bug screens were falling down, as many were held up by duct tape. Lastly, I was electrocuted by the shower in the main bathroom. We have experience using "suicide showers", but this one was highly questionable. Overall, this could be a nice place if it were given the maintenance it really needs.

Our stay started with a previous day notice that we couldn't check in before 6:30 PM because of a late checkout and some work that needed to be done... We felt in front of an accomplished fact and disregarded. When we checked in, Mariya showed us the place and we were impressed the view it offered, the outside terrace and the private location in proximity to playa Carmen. However, the house needs work. Of the 3 bathrooms, only one is fully functional, yet it's sink was leaking. The leaking non-draining kitchen sink needs to be replaced (we had to wash our dishes outside like we were camping) and professional electric work needs to be done in the place. Aside from that, the set up is not ideal for families with young kids as the rooms do not communicate and are far apart. The kids room door wouldn't lock either without dead bolting it... we did enjoy the village and it's vibe.
