Nice room, great house, wonderful neighborhood with a very good host:)
It only takes five minutes to walk to the West portal muni subway station. the neighbor is super quite and the view was very nice you can run from the house to the beach by 20 minutes.
The apartment is extremely well maintained and everything was fully prepared when we checked in. The location is also a very safe and clean neighborhood with plenty of parking and good access to many areas of SF. The internet was good, and there were enough cooking supplies to prepare a variety of meals. Phil was also a great host.
Phil was a very welcoming host and communication was excellent. Getting to and into the suite was easy. The attention to detail in the suite was amazing. The little things like memory foam bath mat and soap/shampoo dispensers just added to the experience. The bed was quite comfy.
The property was in the perfect location for Muni public transport, just a short 5 min work down the hill. Made getting around quite easy throughout our stay. Neighborhood was great. The pizza shop down the road (Goat Hill pizza) was good. Plenty of other food options.
Would stay again if we return to San Francisco.
Great location and the driveway parking was really convenient. Phil was there to greet me even though I arrived kind of late on a Sunday night. Very thoughtful host, had a selection of coffee, tea, even a yoga mat in the room which came in handy. There are some beautiful parks in the neighborhood for going on hikes and the West Portal muni stop is a minute walk from the apartment.
This apartment was a decent place to stay in SF. It's location was good. The apartment is very close to the subway & a good selection of restaurants. We had a car & were able to get around to the major sites easily. The apartment was clean & the bed was comfortable. My only concern was I didn't realize the suite is one of two on the ground floor of the home. The walls were on the thin side & we were able to hear muffled conversations & the showers being ran, etc. This unfortunately caused us to be woken up earlier in the morning than we would have liked. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable stay here & found the host very friendly and accessible.
Me and my girlfriend had a great stay in this studio. We didn't run into our host during the stay and didn't need to contact him as everything was laid out well.
The area was quiet as promised and the subway was conveniently a short walk away. The street had plenty of parking space aswell. The studio itself was comfy and clean, with plenty of space for the two of us. The kitchen had necessary equipment for basic cooking. Huge washing and drying machines also available, which was nice.
Overall a great place to stay in SF!
Phil is a great host as though we never met him in person we felt taken care of. We could park our car in the driveway and there were descriptions about how to get to the center and what to visit in San Francisco!
Coffee, tea and little chocolate treats added as a bonus :-)
The neighborhood is very safe and quiet which was kind of the opposite to the noisy New York and Las Vegas we just left... So it felt more like staying in a small village :-)
But it was only a one minute walk to the muni station which was great.
The only negative thing I could mention was that it was very noise sensitive which didn't bother us at all but if you're a light sleeper might be a problem...

I'm a 35-year old entrepreneur. I've been lucky enough to see a lot of Europe & Asia through various semester exchange and internship programs. Now, I want to bring the world home by hosting.
I enjoy cycling, hiking, beach activities, and attempting to cook and plant stuff in the yard when time allows.
