Our newly renovated self-contained unit has a spacious, sunny bedroom, ensuite and breakfast room - perfect for a couple. Our historic Arrowtown cottage is a 3 min walk from central shops and restaurants, has a magnificent outlook and family feel.
Your room is your own private space - spacious bedroom with a gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. Adjoined at one end is an ensuite bathroom and breakfast room at the other which has a fridge, tea/coffee-making facilities, plates and cups. We will make sure you have a lovely continental breakfast to start the day with at your own leisure.
You have access to our lovely garden out the front of your room. We'd prefer not to offer our kitchen for cooking as it is a small cottage and rather full with 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs! We're happy to offer our laundry facilities for you to use.
Interaction with Guests
We're a social family and welcome our guests for chats over coffees or a wine. It is the ideal space for a bit of independence but we are here if you need us. There are so many places to eat and drink in Arrowtown and we are happy to help point you in the right direction.
Our cottage built in 1868 is one of the original historic cottages in Arrowtown. It's picturesque and very handy to town.
There are regular buses going to Queenstown. We have a delightful tandem bicycle or classic old bike you are welcome to use around Arrowtown if you want a bit of fun.
We are happy to accommodate a child or two, or a pet. Smoking is fine outside.
We enjoyed a pleasant two night stopover in a very conveniently located and central B&B, which suited our needs (and pocket!) perfectly. In short, good value! We were able to use the venue as a base to and from which we were able to come and go at will whilst sightseeing in and around Arrowtown.
We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts and were comfortable. Overall, we were happy with the quality of the furnishings and amenities (some minor comments made under separate cover are intended to be constructive).
Lucy and Bert were both very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to assist us with suggestions to improve the pleasure of our visit to the area.
The cottage was very nice, clean and cosy and everything we needed was available, including nice breakfast. Although we did not meet Lucy when se arrived we met the morning that we left. When we arrived we did not know that Mr Brown, the big but lovely and kind dov would not do us any harm, so we did not dare to enter thd property. But Lucy answered us very quick when we texted her about it (we went into the lovely town in the meantime)
So, problem solved... :-)
Lucy is awesome, her unit was very comfortable with a great shower. Loved arrowtown as well!
Lucy welcomed me into her busy family home in a very friendly manner. We shared some interesting conversation and I stayed in her separate garden annex which was clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect for me.
My friends loved their 3 days in the Arrowtown area, Lucy was welcoming & very helpful.
Nice little dependancy outside the cottage. The separate unit has everything including a little kitchen area, bedroom and Bathroom. Lucy and her family were really nice to us. We had a really lovely time in this area. It's a great location close to Queenstown and the view from the garden is amazing.
Separate building with toilet, shower, bedroom and small kitchen. Everything was clean and comfortable. Lucy greeted us warmly and gave us suggestions for visiting Arrowtown. An easy five minute walk to the historic and beautiful Main Street. We enjoyed our stay and loved Arrowtown.
My husband Simon and I have lived in Arrowtown for 11 years. We have two children, Harvey (5) and Janey (4) and 2 Labradors, Indy and Mr Brown. Simon owns and operates a landscaping business and I work part time within a family wine export business, as director of sales and marketing to Asia.
We're an easy-going family and love our life in Arrowtown, surrounded by good friends and a great lifestyle. We've travelled extensively together pre-kids and lived overseas for 5 years prior to arriving in Arrowtown. I fortunately still get to travel a couple of times a year to Asia for my work. We love meeting new people and sharing stories over a glass of wine.
The accommodation we're offering is ideally suited to travellers who want a level of independence and a bit of their own space. There are so many great places to eat and drink in Arrowtown and minutes away by foot. There's many activity options around Arrowtown and Queenstown and we're happy to help you decide how to spend your time here.
