We had a very nice stay at Carol's place in Mariposa. It was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The location was in the heart of Mariposa, right by several restaurants and shops. Carol was a great host - the checkin and checkout were painless and she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. I hope to visit again sometime soon!
We were grateful to have such a charming and luxurious place to relax after some serious hiking in Yosemite! This is a wonderful apartment to stay in.
When we planned our trip, experiencing Yosemite was paramount. Selecting Carol’s airbnb in Mariposa worked out extremely well as part of the Yosemite experience. Although Mariposa is about 35 miles from the center of Yosemite, the drive there is extraordinary and positive. We ate in Mariposa and found the people at Charles Street Dinner House and Fruit and Nut Company just the friendliest people that we love to meet on vacation. The food at both spots was great.
The suite where we stayed was exceptional. The separate entrance and free parking added to the feeling of having our “own space.” The space is roomy with a large sleeping area adjoined to a living area that includes a TV, desk, a small refrigerator and sink. The bathroom was exceptional with an expansive walk-in shower along with a hot tub. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony outside the bedroom and the living room and watching the pedestrian and vehicular traffic go by. The vehicular traffic was a minor annoyance early in the morning as the noise of the traffic toward Yosemite picked up.
Although we didn’t meet Carol in person, she was closely in touch by e-mail and let us know that her mother was nearby if we had any issues that required immediate attention.
Carol was a wonderful host who greeted us upon our arrival. She was really helpful with many great advices about Mariposa and Yosemite. She was easily reachable yet she gave us our privacy and we really felt comfortable in her suite. The suite was spacious, very nicely decorated and the balcony especially was great addition with a nice view over the main street. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Thanks Carol.
Carol was a charming and gracious host, the suite is beautifully furnished and cosy, the Whirlpool bath was great. I loved the key-less entry and the full length balcony, giving great views of Mariposa.
Mariposa is a interesting town, i enjoyed exploring it's Museum, shops and restaurant's. And it's only an hour away from Yosemite N.P.
Carol was an outstanding host. Communication was clear, concise, and prompt. The Arbor Suite is a lovely place to stay in Mariposa, and was only about an hour from Yosemite. The suite-length porch was a great place to spend an evening or morning. Definitely recommend!
The Arbor Suite was a great launching pad for our explorations of Yosemite. The flat was quite roomy and tastefully furnished. Carol also made it very easy for us with a keyless entry and written restaurant reservations on our arrival.

I am a dyed in the wool mountain girl. The sierra is my home and will be, hopefully, for eternity. I love a good hike to the top of a mountain and the run back down. I like to travel and like it even more if my dogs are with me. I am a bit of an entrepreneur and have a few businesses always in the planning stages. People tell me I work too hard, but I like the movement. Yoga, Tai Chi and guitar are a part of each day for me, even if I only have a couple of minutes to devote to them. Life is beautiful here!
I have spent the last 15+ years renovating the building that is home to The Arbor Suite and hope you all will enjoy the fruits of my labors! It is a very cozy, comfortable and well appointed destination for a tired traveler wanting some pampering. ;)
Come for a visit!
