House Rules

Welcome to our home. We hope you notice we have given it a lot of tender loving and care and we hope you will do the same. Here are some things to keep in mind:

1. To find the master suite, make a right as you enter, and walk through the kitchen. The other bedrooms are on the opposite end of the apartment, just past the living room.

2.There is high-speed wireless internet throughout the apartment (strongest signal in the living room.)

3.Feel free to use any of our kitchen dishes, silverware, and glasses, and to store food in the refrigerator. All we ask is that if you dirty anything, please wash it and put it back or put in the dishwasher (except for our sharp knives and nice glasses which need to be hand washed.)

4.The laundry is the 2nd door to the right past the dining room. Feel free to use the washer and dryer as well as the drying rack.

5.If you want to watch TV, please refer to the instructions behind the universal remote (it looks more complicated than it is!)

6.Please remember to keep the front door locked. It does not lock behind you, so you will need to lock the top lock when you enter and leave.

7.When you check out, please take the sheets off the bed and leave them in the white hamper in the laundry room. If your towels are dry, please do the same; if not, feel free to leave them in the bathroom. Leave the bedroom as you found it, and the keys on the dining room table. If all looks good, we will return your security deposit within a week of your checkout.

8.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us or call us.

9.Refer to the neighborhood guide with our favorite places marked. If you discover any we should add for our next guest, please let us know!

We stayed for more than a week at Cynthia's huge, beautiful apartment and enjoyed a very comfortable holiday in NYC. The apartment is not only very cozy, luxurious and spacy, but is also a lovely, quiet resort after a long day in the enormously busy centre of New York. The connection with the metro from Brooklyn to Manhattan is great and very easy and there's a bakery, pharmacy and a super nearby to buy all you need. We will certainly recommand it to all our friends and wish Cynthia and her family all the best for the future!

This was my first airbnb experience and I loved it!! This place is fantastic! It was a very clean, warm, nicely equipped, very comfortable place with a private bathroom. The apartment is exactly as it's pictured. It is within a short walking distance from Prospect ave stop- with easy access to several subway lines. There are lots of bars and restaurants around. The neighborhood is very safe as well. I absolutely loved the entire place, the location and its amenities. Cynthia was very easy to get in touch with. She emailed me right after I booked the lovely room to introduced herself and her housemates and then again about a week before the reservation started. Any other email I sent was answered promptly. Checking in/out was a breeze! Unfortunately, Cynthia was not there during my stay, but Michael and Zach were very helpful, kind and friendly hosts. They have provided with information around the neighborhood and NYC. I would highly recommend this listing to anybody looking to stay in NYC you would NOT be disappointed. Thank you Cynthia and Michael!!

I very much enjoyed my 11 day stay at Cynthia's place. She and her flatmate were thoroughly responsive, helpful and proactive. The space itself is huge, beautiful and super clean. With a big comfy bed, a big TV with over 100 channels, a bedroom air conditioner that worked great, a private bathroom, refrigerator space, a laundry room and kitchen, fresh linens and a ton of privacy, it was better than staying in a hotel at a fraction of the cost. The subway is a 5 minute walk away and while it won't go directly to Manhattan for the next 14 months, an easy transfer a few stops away gets you there quickly.

I stayed for 3 weeks in July-August and Michael was my liaison/host. This is an incredibly beautiful apt, with a very comfortable master suite. Safe and convenient location was right up my alley of interests. Truthfully, I rarely left Brooklyn and only visited Manhattan when I had to. Michael and Cynthia were very accommodating and went beyond the expectations on several occasions. It was no one's fault, but the brand new AC in living room was uncooperative for much of the stay which made it difficult to use the sitting room and gorgeous kitchen. But who cares? There is much to do and see and do in Brooklyn! Also, the R train will not be taking anyone to Manhattan for over a year due to repairs. There are other options so don't fret. Bus along 5th Av was also very helpful to get to many trains without walking.

This place was such a steal! Cynthia and her housemate were very easy to correspond with. Arranging arrival and departure times was effortless, and getting to the apartment from Manhattan was relatively unchallenging. The room was perfect -- such a treat to have our own bathroom (and the complimentary hotel-sized bath products were a nice surprise since I hadn't brought shampoo with me). More than enough privacy. Everything was clean and in order without feeling unlivably pristine. We felt welcome to use the (gorgeous and well-stocked) kitchen but didn't, as cooking isn't the thing one tends to do when one has only three nights in New York. In any case we felt super lucky to not be paying hundreds of dollars a night for a hotel room that wouldn't have felt nearly as lovely to come home to. Thank you so much, Cynthia and Michael!
