I had a great time. The place is in the perfect location, and it is very clean and cozy. Nancy was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Nancy was lovely. Apartment was spacious and well equipped with easy access to bothOakland and San Francisco. Very enjoyable.
Nancy's lower level apartment in their 100+ year-old home was a delight. I spent two nights there on a recent business trip and found it quiet, roomy, filled with interesting objects and paintings, easy access to good eating, and nice walks. She was a most welcoming and inviting host. I will stay there again for sure.
Terrific location, terrific light, beautiful details, warm hosts. 100% recommended!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Nancy's apartment. The place has a funky, older vibe, perfect for some people, but others might want to seek newer, more updated accommodations. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked very nicely. There is a great outdoor space in back with a deck and lots of cool plants and chairs - unfortunately we were out in the city most of the time we were staying there and didn't get to use it. Parking on the street can be tough sometimes, there are many houses on the small street and curb space is limited. The nights got cold in January - maybe it just felt that way to us being from New Orleans, but we had the heater on most of the night!
Nancy's place was really nice. It was spacious and in a great location. Great neighbors and an excellent main space.
The host was exceptionally kind and considerate. The place was clean, spacious and completely adorable!
Really 4.5 stars. Nancy was wonderful and the apartment was perfect for us. We loved the personal touches all around, the thank you letter from JFK for example.. The bed was very comfortable. My husband was able to work at the desk using the free wifi. The neighborhood is great. An easy stroll to Whole Foods Walking down Grand from there you come to Oaktown Spices, my favorite spice shop in the world! The Oakland farmer's market is the best. Lake Merritt is a joy to walk around on a nice day. So this is a near perfect little get away. As others have said, the bathroom facilities are a little, well, little. But that's a small sacrifice for such a cozy retreat.
My wife and I loved staying at Nancy's quiet studio apartment. The location is right by Lake Merritt and the Whole Foods store. Nancy was totally accommodating for what few needs we had.
I was a little worried about her dog making noise but never heard it
once. The bathroom set up is a little cramped but not unduly enough to be uncomfortable. We will definitely stay with her again.
Nancy's hospitality is the crowning touch for this beautiful apartment. It is in a safe, dead end street, but very close to a huge Whole Foods Market. Easy access to the freeway, and close to BART.
The weather was for the most part beautiful, and for the occasional chilly night, the wall heater warms up the place very nicely. The one item that could be better is the shower mixing valve, as the hot is extremely sensitive and requires 1/8" turns to adjust properly.
Very happy to have found this apartment and definitely recommend it.
