Hotel style room, queen bed perfect for two. located on south side of house facing the garden and mountains. Shared bathroom for guests. Full use of kitchen, living room and porches. Large back yard to play in full of fruit tress.. avocados, mangoes, citrus, and spices.
We have lots of fresh fruit and organic veggies and spices grown on property but I am most happy that we have 9 avocados trees to enjoy fresh avocados year round.
Guests will have access to living room, bathroom, kitchen, front and back porch, and laundry room. There is also a large back yard to play in.
Interaction with Guests
I will interact will guest as needed. I am open to being a guide to hikes like kalalau and sleeping giant or if the guest prefers to have privacy I will give them that.
Its rural so we got animals roaming the valley.. horses playing, chicken roaming.. cows in the distance.
There is a bus system here called Kauai bus but I recommend renting a car to sight see and go to all the hard to reach places the bus will not go.
Other Things to Note
This is a non smoking house, there is designated places for smoking. Also, because of situation and safety of place i do not allow children under the age of 12 to stay at my residence.
I offer airport pick up and drop off 30 dollars each way~Kalalau Trail pickup/dropoff~ available for a 50 dollar fee each way. Includes stopping for supplies. I can be a guide for kalalau and many other trails, can discuss compensation in person!

We stayed for 2 nights at Casey's and really enjoyed the quiet, informal, friendly atmosphere. Most of our time, we spent exploring the island, but we always started our day with a leisurely breakfast at the beautiful dining room table. Our clean room had a very comfortable bed with warm breezes coming in the two windows that overlooked the yard. Casey generously offered us fresh fruit and avocados from trees in his yard, as well as scones and muffins for breakfast. This was our first time using airbnb, and we were very happy to have made it a part of our vacation experience. Thank you so much, Casey!!

Casey's place is definitely a secret garden. Great location, not far away from the main road and still quiet enough to enjoy wonderful sounds of nature every night. Highly recommend!
My stay at Casey's house was totally last minute and I'm so glad it happened — not only is his home cozy and welcoming, but Casey is one of the nicest people I've ever met.
I stayed in the Garden View Bedroom which was spacious and clean with a great view of the backyard. The house is surrounded by decks and has a beautiful Lanai for eating breakfast, so you're constantly surrounded by lush views no matter where you are in the house. Name any sort of fruit tree and Casey probably has it in his yard. I couldn't get enough of the fresh avocados and citrus that he had for us every morning.
I ended up not renting a car, but the house was within walking distance to the main street in town as well as the beach. If you have time, I totally recommend taking Casey up on his offer to take you on guided hikes or kayaking, I saw so many amazing things that I wouldn't have found if I had explored on my own — he knows all the trails and waterfalls that regular tour guides won't take you to. I climbed mountains, swam in waterfalls and kayaked the Wailua river... seriously some of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.
I would highly recommend staying with Casey, he's a wonderful host and what I now consider a great friend. Thanks so much for everything, I'm so grateful to have met you. Mahalo!
Casey did everything in his powers to make his house a home for us during our stay with him. He was very knowledgable in all aspects of Kauai from local hiking trails to restaurant reccomendations. His fruit trees were not only beautiful to look at but also provided for a true Hawaiian treat! We thank you for all you have done to make our vacation a memorable one. Mahalo!
We had a wonderful time at casey's house! It is as beautiful as it is shown on the pictures! We booked the "Garden View" room - a bit small but you're out for hiking and adventures the whole day anyway! :) casey probably knows everything and everyone in Kauai so he's a perfect host! :) had a great time and we want to Come back soon!
I've stayed at Casey's place for five nights. His house, a real gem with a big garden, is located close to the charming old town of Kapaa. Casey is an excellent host, super friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. He's an excellent source when it comes to island activities (in particular hiking tours).

I am professional musician and a out door aficionado. I love to take guests on adventures as long as there is time too. I love to play music for people and show the aloha spirit. I do enjoy meeting new people and enjoy more so when I take them to a waterfall and see the look on there face! I definitely have farming and hippie tendencies but am firmly planted on the earth.
