The Space

6 bed dormitory with A/C, secured lockers and towels included. We also have free hi-speed wireless internet for your convenience. Our focus is on quality over quantity.

The first floor is the lounging area where you can enjoy relax, chat to people, and have a great time with us and the other guests. We have card-games nights (Poker, Uno, Monopoly cards), and movie nights weekly! We would like to make you feel comfortable while staying with us, just as you would be in your own home.

The guesthouse is located in central Bangkok. It's just a 5 minutes walk from the Airport Rail Link (SRT) and the BTS Sky Train. Easy access to Siam, MBK, Victory monument, pubs and restaurants. Since we are located in central Bangkok, exploring the city and it's numerous attractions is very convenient from our Siam Journey.

I am an experienced host who can provide advices and directions throughout your stay. My name is Mai, and my associate is Nathan. We can also provide you with various tour details should you choose to travel outside of Bangkok into other provinces.

Come join us in our journey through Siam and all its amazing and wondrous places!

  • Great place to stay in the heart of Bangkok, family atmosphere, and you will definitely meet new friends

  • An excellent location, close to metro stations to get around Bangkok and to/from the airport. Free wifi in common space and dorm room. Staff and other guests were extremely nice. It is a bit hard to find, but the staff will be available to help you if necessary. Wish I would have stayed at Siam Journey longer!

  • Nice old town location, interesting place. A bit hard to find at first but then discovered that very well located, metro 2 min away.
Dorms rooms are ok, with Internet access. Downstairs is the "meeting room" and upstair is the best area where you can smoke.
The receptionist was very nice and helpfull. I recommend staying there.

  • Very family like environment, the place is has a vibe that really makes for people interacting much more than most guest houses. Also in a great location very centrally located but away from the masses of tourists. The staff is also very fun and helpful!!!

  • Perks: wifi and a communal computer, a roof, a clean towel provided (and laundry service if needed), a short stroll to the SkyRail Train (which is also a stop on the City Rail, which takes you straight to the airport), a 15 min walk from some of Siam City's attractions (worth it if you wanna stay close and have a few hours to kill), a 7-11 around the corner for stocking up on supplies, maps, an authentic glimpse of typical Thai life

Part of Siam's charm is that it's tucked away enough to experience Thailand's winding residential alleys, but it's really just right off the main street. We found S.J. with the help of neighbors who knew exactly where we were headed. Had left the address in the cab when we got dropped off. A group of hostel guests and our two hosts, Geng and Nathan, were all hanging out in the communal living area, greeting us warmly. It was nice since we had just got in from our flight pretty late. Geng got us situated right away, showing us the space, givings us keys to our lockers and a code card for the front door.

If you have plans of your own, the hosts are happy to point out travel tips. If you are looking for something to do, there is a list of attractions and plenty of Lonely Planet books. Other guests were also a great source for info and fun companions if you're feeling social. Everyone was so helpful in advising us on the best way to Ko Pha Ngan. The experience at S.J. was so great that we came back after our trip before flying back out of Bangkok.

  • Best guesthouse ever. The hosts are so kind and willing to help out guests (taking us to the market, working with you to figure out fun stuff to do, advising taxi rates so you don't get ripped off). The facilities are well maintained and taken care of and the house is on an alley off Nom Chit so even though you are right beside Phaya Thai MRT you aren't bothered by the hustle & bustle noise of the city. They strive to make guests feel like a part of their community and it works. You do not need to be a solo traveler when you stay here! Will stay again when I am back in Bangkok.

  • Very smooth contact and excellent written guidelines how to get there. The place is by the airport skyline, so it was very convenient. Also close to the river boats, which is a nice experience and a quick way to get passed the traffic jams. Very friendly staff and a welcoming feeling. Clean dorm and fresh bathroom. I recommend it.
