Our apartment is located in Greenpoint, a safe and beautiful neighborhood in Brooklyn. Just few minutes walk and you'll be surrounded by restaurants, shops, cafes, etc ... The beautiful India st Pier is only couple of blocks away and it offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city.
Available from the Pier is also the East River ferry that in few minutes will take you to Manhattan (34th st). Cost of the ferry is $ 4 for a ride, but it's well worth it.
We are also on a 7 minutes walk from the G train (Greenpoint Ave).
About the PARKING: parking in the street is free. During the weekend and at night it's usually easy to find a spot, while during daytime on weekdays it might get slightly harder. Please understand that we don't have a private garage so we cannot assure you that you'll find parking right in front of the apartment as soon as you arrive. Sometimes you might have to drive a few times around the block.

Great location and space! I will definitely use again. The PROS: location, better space than most hotels in NYC, check in and check out was a breeze, host is accommodating and friendly, free wifi access and loved the hospitality folder with house tips and recommendations around town. The CONS: none. Only had one hiccup with turning on hot water. There was a method that was not intuitive to us out-of-towner. But host was available to help, even at the very early hours of 5:30am.
This was my first experience with Airbnb and Cecilia made it great. She was very accommodating with our last minute request and the apartment was everything as described - and much more.
Right after I booked, Cecilia wrote to say "you won't be disappointed." How true that was! Beautiful home, great neighborhood, a perfect location (near subways, cafes, pier) and a super sweet host. Our group of 9 could not have been happier. Thank you, Cecilia, for such a wonderful and memorable visit to New York!
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Cecilia was very prompt in responding to our inquiry and the apartment was just as described and immaculate. It accommodated our group of 7, including an infant, quite comfortably. The location is awesome and we felt very comfortable exploring the area. Thanks Cecilia for allowing us to enjoy this apartment.
Logement très bien décrit sur le site .l hôte à communiqué très rapidement avec nous pour toutes nos questions.
Séjour fantastique dans cet appartement
We had an amazing stay in Greenpoint. Such a cool area with plenty of good bars and cafes around. Cecilia place was really comfortable and the appartment is beautiful. I could be good to know that the bedrooms are all joined together, only separated by curtains. Didn't bother us at all, we all had a fantastic time!
Really enjoyed staying at Cecilia's place in Greenpoint. We were a family of 7 (5 teenagers), and the apartment was the perfect size. Kitchen was good size, as was the bathroom. Grocery stores on Manhattan are good, as is the wine shop near the metro entrance. Only ate once in the neighborhood (La Taverna at the corner of Java and Manhattan), but it was good basic Italian.
Perfectly located 5 min walk from both the metro and the East River ferry, so access to Manhattan is a breeze. I suggest using the 7 line from Court Sq, as it gets you right to Times Square at 42nd.
The only real problem we had wasn't related to the apartment itself, but with the G Line metro station. Due to what I think was construction it closed at 9pm on the Friday we arrived, which meant that we needed to rearrange our plans at the very last second, and ended up having to walk about 35 minutes from the 7 line. Lesson: always check the NY Metro system for schedule changes...
Would not hesitate staying at Cecilia's in the future!
