  • I recently stayed in Bruno's apartment while visiting Rio for three nights. Bruno was a very kind and generous host, and always made sure I was comfortable and provided me with a comprehensive guide to Rio. Being a tour guide himself came in very handy!!! The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and homey. Excellently situated for walking to Ipanema as well. I was very pleasantly surprised that from the sitting room window I had such excellent views of Christ the Redeemer towering just above us. Very enjoyable stay! Highly recommended home stay !!

  • We (a friend of mine and I) stayed at Bruno's place over New Year's and were very content! The apartment and everything that goes with it was clean, very well equipped and nicely situated.
Bruno helped us in every possible situation, he is a very interesting, attentive and nice person.
We can totally sign Gabriel's review.
    Highly recommended!

  • I totally recommend this one!

The apartment's very nice and so is the room. Everything works fine, everything's always very clean and tidy and I honestly don't have a single thing to complain about my stay! If you don't know the neighborhood, I can tell you Jardim Botânico is my favorite in Rio. It's close to a lot of nice places and very easy to get transportation to mostly anywhere, but at the same time it's calm and peaceful when you need to rest.

Well, about the host... Bruno's a very nice man -- too bad I haven't got a chance to know him better, since I needed the room to concentrate on my studies and I wasn't very talkative. What I did get to know is that he respects and genuinely cares about his guests. I don't mean just the basic stuff a host should think about, but he's also made a list of buses and selected a lot of brochures, magazines and travel guides for anyone who might need it and all those little things that make a big difference. Anyway, he's the type of person who'll leave you alone if you want him to, but he's also open to conversations if that's your case.

You can also come in and out of the house anytime you want to, which isn't possible in some places you can rent around here.

Well, that's basically it... If I needed a place to stay in Rio again, I'd definitely go back there!

  • My stay in Bruno's apartment was simply perfect! The room is comfortable and cosy and from the living room you can even see the Cristo Redentor!
Bruno is a host like no other: kind, careful and helpful. I also got lots of good tips about Rio from him. And now we are also friends!

  • Staying with Bruno was a terrific experience. Bruno is a very well informed, friendly and considerate host who most certainly makes his guests feel welcome. I cannot thank Bruno enough for the extra help he gave me on finding the attractions that I was interested in, enjoying the experience cheaply and even recommending other attractions of my interest that I may wish to see. The location of his house is terrific nestled just below Corcovado and behind the beautiful Lagoa it was a very quick bus ride to either the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema or the center districts. Bruno left information on public transport systems, the city map and information on what to do whilst in Rio. I really enjoyed my time in Rio De Janeiro and would highly recommend staying with Bruno to anyone who was visiting.

  • Staying in with Bruno can be perfect if you like to discover Rio de Janeiro. You will find a busstop right in front of the apartment to all beaches, the christ, sugar loaf, lapa and so on. Bruno offers a nice private bathroom and shower for his guest. I really appreciated the tips he gave me to discover the beauty and diversity of Rio. The best thing of staying with Bruno is the view from the apartment. You can see the Christ from the living room while overseeing parque lage and from your room you can see the lagoon.

Tour-Guide and Tour-Manager
I am 49 years old, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I work as a tour-guide and tour-manager. Most of the time I am a quiet person, who loves to share knowledge and meet new people. I also make a point in being respectful, tolerant, clean and orderly. My interests range from Aviation to 20th century Literature; Travel, Geography and History; Religions & Spirituality; and Films. Knowing this you are likely to see me reading Caio Fernando de Abreu, Mia Couto, Wolfgang Borchert, or Κωνσταντίνος Καβάφης‎ while listening to Kent, Madredeus, Sigur Rós, or עידן רייכל‎. If we go out to the movies our best bet is anything by Michelangelo Antonioni, Terrence Malick, or Walter Salles but if our time-out includes an art gallery it will surely have something to do with German Expressionism, particularly Franz Marc. I will be glad to have you as a guest in Rio. Please, feel free to ask for all needed help prior, during and after the trip.
