My host Bruno is thoroughly gracious and professional. He made sure to have his spacious and comfortable apartment in pristine condition and accessible when I arrived. The apartment exceeded expectations: it's in an excellent location, close to wonderful parks (Jardim Botanico & Parque Lage), numerous restaurants, and within walking or biking distance to Ipanema, Leblon & beaches. Bruno is multilingual and very cultured, and helps with advice and suggestions ways to enrich the travel experience in this marvelous city.
This was my first AirBnB experience and it was so good that I may be challenged to find a host and rental as noble as this was. Thank you Bruno!
I stayed in Rio for one week to attend a conference near Jardim Botanico, and I was very lucky to choose Bruno as a host. First of all, the house was very tidy and welcoming as I arrived. The very first evening Bruno, after having offered a glass of very nice Porto, took time to show me around the neighbourhood, and it was very kind of him. The next days I found that information very useful. He was also very happy to provide me with information about Rio and the Brazilian way of life, even though I was not much around.
His way of life is very relaxed, and I felt the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed as well during my stay. I felt safe at his home, as the neighbourhood is a good one.
The house was in perfect condition, everything was OK with the bed, bathroom and kitchen.
Furthermore, I had some trouble with my scheduled time of departure, and he was totally relaxed about that. I had to postpone my departure by some hours, and he was very flexible. It saved me a lot of problems!
Overall, I have to say that my stay in Bruno's apartment was very good and comfortable, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a relaxed time in Rio.
Bruno has a wonderful apartment in a very safe and beautiful part of Rio. Bruno was very welcoming when I arrived, he is also a tour guide so has some really good knowledge of good places to go in and around rio. The apartment is situated close to a metro bus stop so you are only a very short journey away from all of rio's main attractions.
I had a great time staying with Bruno and would totally recommend staying here to anyone. Thank you Bruno!
I was there for a week during the World Cup so things couldn't have been busier in Rio. Even though Bruno was busy with work as well, he always took the time to make sure everything was taken care of and had excellent tips on getting around and how to avoid some of the crowds at the more tourist-y spots. Bruno keeps his place very clean and having my own bathroom was a definite perk. The next time I go back to Rio I'm definitely going to have to get in touch with Bruno again.
Bruno was a wonderful host. He is considerate to needs and requirements. I enjoyed very much staying in the quiet neighbourhood which allowed me to sleep well at night. His proximity to the various tourist sites was also a great aspect to the experience of staying with Bruno.
I would certainly return to Bruno's apartment next time I am in Rio.
Bruno's sharing of his knowledge of the history of the city was very much appreciated and it had brought me to understand so much more about this amazing city which was previously unknown to me. Thanks very much Bruno. Peter Corr
My stay in Bruno's apartment was simply perfect! The room is comfortable and cosy and from the living room you can even see the Cristo Redentor!
Bruno is a host like no other: kind, careful and helpful. I also got lots of good tips about Rio from him. And now we are also friends!
I am 49 years old, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I work as Tour Guide and Tour Manager. Most of the time I am a quiet person, who loves to share knowledge and meet new people. I also make a point in being respectful, tolerant, clean and orderly.
My interests range from Aviation to 20th century Literature; Travel, Geography and History; Religions & Spirituality; and Films. Knowing this you are likely to see me reading Caio Fernando de Abreu, Mia Couto, Wolfgang Borchert, or Κωνσταντίνος Καβάφης while listening to Kent, Madredeus, Sigur Rós, or עידן רייכל. If we go out to the movies our best bet is anything by Michelangelo Antonioni, Terrence Malick, or Walter Salles but if our time-out includes an art gallery it will surely have something to do with German Expressionism, particularly Franz Marc.
I will be glad to have you as a guest in Rio. Please, feel free to ask for all needed help prior, during and after the trip.
