Avril's home is the perfect first stop for anyone wanting to rest up in Dublin, especially after a long flight. The neighborhood is quiet and just a few minutes walk from beautiful Phoenix Park. As soon as I arrived I was made to feel at home and comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what anyone would look for in accommodations. Avril showed me how to get to the bus stop and what bus to take into town, and was very helpful with any questions I had about getting around town. I would definitely stay with Avril again!
Avril is a great hostess ! She is very interesting, attentive and helpful with her guests. It was a nice experience even for 1 day/night ! Moreover, the cozy room was lovely and comfortable. Thanks Avril !
She was a very good and nice hostess. I had a wonderful time with her.
She always gave me useful information and was always willing to help when it was needed. If I should come back to Dublin, I would love to go back to her.
Had a 2 nights stay with Avril, for a short visit to my niece. A cozy room indeed, with the Phoenix Park next door, and the City Centre easy to reach, either by bus or in a 1 hour walk. Avril and family do make you feel at home, and provide you with anything you need. A recommendation worthy!
I feel so lucky that I got to spend my first trip to Dublin in Avril's lovely home! She is a truly wonderful, gracious and experienced host.
I stayed in the larger front bedroom, which was not only immaculate, but included a comfy couch and nice iKea wardrobe. The bed had more than enough blankets and the mattress was comfortable as well. Everything in her house is very modern, sleek and stylish.
Avril is an expert on Dublin, naturally, and left me lots of maps, guides and advice about where to go and what to see. I also had a great continental breakfast every day, which was an added bonus!
As far as location, the house is in a safe, lovely neighborhood adjacent to Phoenix Park. There is an entrance to the park about 2 minutes away from the house, which makes for a nice morning stroll. There are also a few pubs, but you'd be better off catching one of the frequent buses that runs into the center of town. The bus service to this area is incredibly reliable and frequent. I never had to wait more than ten minutes. There is also a gas station around the corner, if you are renting a car.
All in all, I would happily stay at Avril's again, and highly recommend her place. A+
Avril was a really nice host. She and her family were still really friendly and helpfull even though I wasn't really around (help me through the bus strike at my arrival). I recommand highly Avril home. Thanks a lot!
I would like to say a big thank u to Avril and her wonderful family for making my stay in Dublin so special. Avril was very good in sharing information on the bus routes and where to go, they took me to a beautiful pub and I really felt part of the family. When I next visit Dublin I will be letting you know Avril.
Once again, a big thank you :-)
