Description

This mid-terraced house in the Moorlands area of Lancaster is only ten minutes walk from town and close to the university bus route. There are two good sized bedrooms, a downstairs bathroom, a cosy living room, a kitchen with dining table and yard.

This is a cosy mid-terrace house with two good sized double bedrooms and a downstairs bathroom. It's a good base for the Lake District, as well as being very close to Lancaster town centre (ten minutes walk) and close to the bus route for the university (15 mins bus ride).

The whole house and the yard out the back. There are two bedrooms (both with double beds), a small living room with TV and gas fire, kitchen with cooker, microwave, washing machine and dining table with chairs. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and bath. Central heating throughout. Wi-fi available. Clean towels and bedlinen provided. The stairs are quite steep so this house isn't recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

None, apart from possibly handing over keys, though these will probably be posted rather than handed over in person. There are instructions on how to use the central heating, TV, etc. in the house.

It's a few minutes from the canal, which is very pretty and nice to walk or run along. The lovely Williamson's Park, with the Ashton Memorial in it, is a short walk away. There are some great pubs within walking distance (eg. the Water Witch on the canal) and the best fish and chips in the world in Hodgson's on Prospect Street. The town centre is only ten minutes walk away - though the house is at the top of a pretty steep hill - but this means that the house is close to the shops and Lancaster's tourist sites.

Lancaster railway station is fifteen minutes walk away and the nearest bus stop (near Park Hotel on the Bowerham Road) is ten minutes away. The bus ride to the university takes 15 minutes. There's on-street parking and road connections with Lancaster are good. The house is on a steep hill which you need to walk down for town and the shops.

A bike for hire if you would like it, an extra £5 per day.

The house was perfect! Very clean and well equipped. We have enjoyed very much the use of the chimney in the evenings. Sharon has a great collection of guides for the lake district which have been very useful! Would definitely recommend the house and would stay here again in the future.

The cottage was lovely and cosy, very clean. My 16 month old loved exploring the steps to the different rooms! It's a great location for walking into town, but lots of hills

Small, but not too small. Very cosy, clean and conveniently located little terraced house. Walk into town less than 10 mins. Clean towels provided, and tea/milk available, with request to replenish anything used up. Ideal for short stopover - highly recommended. Comfy beds.

I'm a Professor at Lancaster University. I love the outdoors, particularly walking, running and climbing mountains in the nearby Lake District. My work takes me away from home a fair bit and it would be nice to know that someone would be enjoying the house while I am away.
