Other Things to Note
upon making a reservation please inform us via airbnb website of your arrival and departure time. It helps us coordinate early check ins, late check outs and our housekeeping schedule
We love meeting all of our guests but sometimes it is easier if I just leave the apartment door unlocked with the keys inside.
The wireless connection is TempHomes at Sedgwick and the password is (phone number hidden)
We can be very flexible with move in and move out times as long as we can get this apartment home cleaned for the next airbnb client.
Please always leave the apartment keys inside the apartment home when you vacate the apartment. Please do NOT lock the door to the apartment home, my housekeepers do not have keys.
It is best to contact us via the airbnb website at all times. I get constant text messages and I am always on this website so I should be able to answer your questions promptly. And you can always call or text my cell.
The place was ok. But the air conditioning and the humidifier in the apartment didn't work it was blowing hot air all night long. When it rained it was hard for us to get in to the apartment. the floor outside was flooded because it was underground and all of our shoes were soaked. Overall it was an okay place. It was pretty cheap so that was good. I would rate this a 4 out of 10. Just remember to check the weather when you decide to go to this place because all the water gathers up down there.
Our family had a great time at this apartment. It's in a safe neighborhood with a playground right across the street. I was shocked at how quiet it was once inside. Must be due to being on the ground level.
Just a few blocks to Lincoln park zoo and great places to eat in old town. Also convenient to the train station. Ubering to millennium park was around $10.
The apartment was clean and Joanne was quick to respond to any questions we had.
JoAnne's has a great apartment & it accommodated me and my four friend perfectly. It's clean, spacious, well-kept and in a very nice neighborhood. There are some local, fun things to do (Second City is less than a ten minute walk away), and the more touristy things my friends & I were attracted to on our first trip in the city were just short/affordable cab or metro rides away. I never met JoAnne but she was easy to communicate with. On one night in particular -- upon returning to the apartment and realizing I lost the key -- she was very gracious & helpful despite the late hour. I'd recommend staying here.
JoAnne was quick to respond to messages and she was willing to be flexible on our check in time. Free parking passes were a plus! Communication felt a little confusing at times (some questions not answered, information about parking permits not clear at first). However, once we were there, her directions made more sense.
Pictures of the interior are accurate, although in some cases they give a false sense of bright lighting. The bedrooms and the bathroom especially are pretty dim. Upstairs residents can be heard walking around.
Our family loved the location! We enjoyed our short time walking around the streets and the neighborhood felt safe. Be sure to check out Topo Gigio for great Italian food and Second City for laughs.
Great location. Easy access to transit, short walks to Old Town and Lincoln Park beach and manageable walk, even with smaller kids, to loop attractions like Michigan Ave and Millennium Park.
Unit accommodations are plenty spacious and it receives natural light, but it is in the basement. Queen bed in one room and twin beds in the other room are fine, but the pullout couch in the main room was passable for small kids but it could really, really use a pad for the mattress ... so keep that in mind if you're a larger group or planning on expecting an adult to sleep there.
