The Roma district of Mexico City is a residential and restaurant area between Viaducto Miguel Alemán in the south and Avenida Chapultepec in the north. It's a large area with mostly Art Deco architecture, large parks, and a relaxed atmosphere.
We are in a very central area and we also have around: Metro, Metrobus, bicycle stations and all kinds of transportation to any part of the city.
We like to get into the rooms sometimes to check that everything is under control. You can have completely trust that your things will be safe always.

Jacqueline and her sister are very very nice. Helpful but also living my space. It was really good to share with them. The room is really nice, the location in the city too. Very central, very alive with a lot of good taqueria!!!
I clearly recommend this place, and I will go back for sure!
Jaqueline was a great hostess, and was available to help out whenever I need something. I didnt see her often at all, but she was there if I had questions, as was her partner and sister, which was great! The place is in a great location, super close to public transit and in a really lovely neighbourhood... and also private, as it is on the rooftop. The only thing is that I would make sure to bring a towel, and perhaps extra sheets if you are going to be staying a long time. I recommend staying with Jaqueline.
Had a wonderful stay! Didn't see Jackie and the rest of the family too often, but they were always available if I needed anything. Really great neighborhood and a lovely apartment. Highly recommended.
Jackie's place is located on Colonia Roma in a middle class residential neighborhood. Living at her place is an experience of being part of that local community. It is worth the USD13 you pay per night. Its not a place if you are looking for any hotel type or moderate to luxury stay. Its clean (however if I would do it again I would bring my own blanket and sheets). Its a good place if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower. Also, I would lock my belongings. If you decide to take the place, I would contact the host in advance and confirm the address via email (the address of the unit was mentioned wrongly on airbnb confirmation and the cab driver had to go back and forth till we got the host on phone).
Over all, if you are looking for hostel type of amenities (minus meeting travelers like you) like in a developing country, with the benefit of actually seeing what the local working class community is, this is the place for you.
It's a great deal in a very real neighborhood, close to both the city bus lines and the Hospital General green line metro. There are plenty of little shops, the taqueria on the corner is excellent, and there is even night life nearby. Accommodations are spartan but clean, with a refrigerator, microwave and wireless internet right in the room, which is a self-contained little world up top of the building. Jackie and family are friendly and attentive, but it's possible to go days as I did without having to check in for anything. Recommended! Jay Dunn
