Thanks to Simos our first experience with airbnb was absolutely awesome! When we entered the studio we were amazed, it was even better than the pictures and the view is wonderful!
Simos was so friendly and helpful that we really felt save and relaxed. He made us a welcoming basket with fruits and homemade cake and jam which was very nice and he also gave us a phone so we could call him in case of any problems or questions.
We felt really welcome and the location of the studio is nice aswell, just outside the busy bay of Chania. This made exploring the city of Chania by foot really easy. Also there is plenty of room to park your car just outside the studio. The cafe below the studio can be a bit noisy but all the rest makes up for it!
We highly recommend visiting simos' studio, for then you will have a great holiday in Crete!
It was really a pleasure to stay in the beautiful appartment of Simos.
It was a very professional and warmely welcome and support by Simos.
Susan loves to feel like in the captains cabin! Also the town of Chania is alsovery nice!
Simos was an amazing host and his home was perfect for our stay. He was quick to respond and met us at the place to show us how everything worked. We appreciated the small touches such as the homemade cake and jam, refrigerator stocked with water, beer, snacks, and even a local cell phone we could use to contact him in an emergency. The place has everything you need for a short stay, with beautiful coastal views. I loved the location of the studio as it is walking distance to old town but slightly out of the major touristy area. The local neighborhood a few blocks away was actually my favorite area of Chania. I hope to return again in the future. Thank you Simos!
Simos was extremely helpful as a host. He met us in person, had coffee waiting in the apartment (we had an early flight), provided a welcome basket of goodies, and even gave us a local cell phone to use to call text him anytime night or day. The apartment is right on the water, and has a wonderful view. It was very spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony overlooking the water.
This place is amazing. It is one of those rare airbnb gems. The location is spectacular and the view in the morning and evening amazing. We had a wonderful stay. Just one note there is no stove in the kitchen so don't buy cooking supplies....there are many amazing bakeries N restaurants to eat at. Thanks for an amazing vacation
I booked the studio for a week with the consideration of staying for a couple months. The studio itself is acurate to the photos. But the view from the balcony is a bit disappointing. There is a large power line pole directly next to the porch balcony and its power lines pretty much divide every view you have. To be fair though, I did just arrive from staying at place on Santorni's caldera, and this was obviously a huge step down from that. The "cafe" downstairs is a bit misleading, it's really more of a bar, spans two levels, stays open late and can get quite noisy. One has to walk through the cafe/bar to reach the studio, and the bar's air space leads directly to the door of the studio, hence it can feel like one is in a bar when lying in bed due to the noise. Moreover, the host was creating another studio next door, so there was also construction noise coming from the other side of the studio wall during the day. Additionally, I was assured that there would be a hotplate upon my arrival, which there wasn't, and then assured again that it would be brought over on Monday (2 days later), it wasn't. After 4 days of noise, not being able to cook, and having the host fall back on his word twice, I obviously decided against the two months, and to leave early and request a refund for my remaining nights. Which the host did do. But not without some personal insults: e.g. "all you think about is yourself". This critique actually seems to sum up the host, considering the only thing he seemed concerned about was filling up his calender.
In the past year I have had the pleasure to host some of the most charismatic people I have met in my life, all extremely cultivated guests and experienced travelers. Judging from my reviews none of them seemed to have faced the issues you describe. Not even the ones that came from Santorini during the Summer where the prices are significantly higher than the prices you paid in the Winter. The fact that you put so much effort to come up with negative things to say about my home is fascinating, set aside the lies. The apartment has a separate entrance from the cafeteria, which can by no means be described as a bar. Maintenance is scheduled every winter in order to preserve the quality of our space. The tasks are discreet and the noise is always kept to a minimum. I believe this attitude has to do with the way you experience life and defines you as a person. It is like a finger pointing a way to the moon, you will concentrate on the finger and just miss all that heavenly beauty. Take care, Simos.
Describing yourself in a textbox online is sure not as easy as it looks. I’ll try my best!
I like music, I like food, I love photography and I pursue inspiration in any opportunity I find. I try to carry my camera everywhere with me so I can keep a little memory of whatever pleases my eye.
My greatest passions in life is travelling. From my experiences I figured that persons who enjoy travelling tend to always have a passion for life. It is a pleasure meeting people from around the world all with different backgrounds and interesting cultures. Everyone has a story to share.
That was the inspiration to start Seemore. Enjoying a spectacular view of the Cretan Sea, Seemore Seaside Studios is an elegant romantic escape offering its guests comfortable acommodation in two studio apartments.
Having me as a host? Let’s put it this way. If I was a guest somewhere, I am the host I would like to have.
I have a natural tendency for tidiness and organization, I will make sure that your stay is joyous and meets all your expectations. Your satisfaction is a must. All in a very friendly and discreet manner.
