Janet and Seamus are great and we had a wonderful time on the farm. The room is welcoming and spacious with lots of nice touches. The setting couldn't be more beautiful with views in every direction and it's only a few minutes out of town. My husband even got a chance to walk around with Seamus and check out the sheep. Breakfast is spectacular!!!
We were made to feel right at home. We were shown to our room, and then invited in for a cup of tea and a Guinness. Both Jan and Seamus were helpful in recommending places to see and eat. Seamus was kind enough to show us a few walks around the area, and we were able to go with him to feed the sheep. Breakfasts were lovely, too. Absolutley beautiful area, and we were able to see and do things that we wouldn't have known about, had we stayed right in town, and with a normal B&B. They also have an absolutley beautiful self-sufficiency flat that's extremely private.
Jan and Seamus were just great! Jan was feeling under the weather so she has us stay in the apartment upstairs instead of in the house. The apartment is great! It has pretty much everything you need to take care of yourself. Seamus took us out to feed sheep and showed us how he wrangles them up with his sheep dog, amazingly smart animal! If you're staying in the Dingle area for a few days, this is a must!!
Janet and Seamus were very friendly and kind. They have an amazing place, and we are very glad that they opened up their home to us. Janet will go out of her way to care for you, and her breakfast was the best of all during our 23 days in Ireland. Seamus was very kind as well, and we loved spending time with him and the sheep. Definately be ready to take tons of pictures in this amazing and beautiful area. And be sure to take Janets advice about the local sights...we are so glad we did. We would totally stay again.
Beautiful farm surroundings with a clean room with a comfortable bed. Janet and Seamus made us feel at home, and Janet cooked a beautiful breakfast every morning for us. One of the highlights was seeing Flossy the sheepdog do her work and having a walk with Seamus. The walk was good craic.
This place provides all that it promises and more. It is close to the town of Dingle at the end of a mile-long uphill drive with glorious views across the valley. Jan and Seamus are the real deal. They offer you boots and jacket and take you into their fields and barn to experience the sheep farm from the ground up. Jan even allowed us to bottle-feed several baby lambs who were not with their mothers, for various reasons. What a kick to learn these lambs' divergent personalities.....one was "stupid" (Jan's label), one was so forward that you had to clamp the nipple to the bottle (repurposed Guinness) to keep him from ripping it off, etc. The room was nice, food good too.
