Welcome to our guest suite with separate entrance and kitchen. We are located on an acre of rolling hillside approximately one mile northeast of "the Village" of Arroyo Grande. Days are usually cool and nights are quiet. Pismo Beach, restaurants, wineries and hiking are close by.

Our passion is gardening and growing our own organic food. The area near the house is landscaped with patios while there is a veggie garden, orchard, and a seating area up the hill. Enjoy a morning or evening stroll.

The space
We are located just 1.6 miles (approximately 4 minutes drive) from the 101 freeway. Although we are just minutes from the Arroyo Grande Village, with its restaurants and shops, the setting is quiet and semi-rural.

Our place is ideal for couples, small families and singles. Whether you are here on vacation, visiting relatives, here for a wedding, traveling for work or are a Cal Poly parent, our guest suite makes a great to stay.

Your rate includes the 13% city of Arroyo Grande transient tax. There is no cleaning fee.

There are two short steps to enter the suite. The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are separate rooms, connected by a hall. The suite is attached to our house but it is entirely private and self enclosed.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a futon couch. We ask that guests let us know if they will be using the futon as a bed so that we may set it up as a bed. We ask that guests not change the futon from bed to couch or from couch to bed - we will do that for you.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, juicer, toaster and a hotplate. There is 4-stage reverse osmosis water at the sink for drinking, cooking and making coffee or tea with. There is a table that seats four in the kitchen. We provide an outside barbecue for cooking meat.

A breakfast of organic coffee, tea, homemade organic granola and non-dairy milk is provided.

The bathroom has a single sink and a shower in the tub. To conserve water we ask that guests do not take baths.

There is a 4k UltraHD TV with tivo in the bedroom and you will have access to Netflix and other movie apps but not TV. Lots of games are in the drawers in the hall. We keep a picnic basket ready for you to fill with food and drinks for an outing to the beach or a local park or winery.

We welcome people of all backgrounds.

Guests may use the front tiled patio. Please respect the signs and do not enter the private spaces.

Guests are welcome to roam around the grounds however please do not enter the veggie garden. It is surrounded by a low fence.

Other things to note

Hi, my name is Alice and I am very grateful to live on the beautiful Central Coast of California with my spouse of many years, Erica. We live on the “old Gularte Ranch” off of beautiful Corbett Canyon. The Gularte’s are a local family with deep roots as cattle ranchers and farmers in our community. We live in the house where Mannie and Nellie retired, on one acre that was once part of a 60 acre cattle ranch in east Arroyo Grande. Mannie (Manuel) loved to garden and we are pleased to be able to keep the tradition alive here at the ranch. We love growing and eating great tasting food and grow our own fruits and veggies on our little place. We enjoy hanging out with friends, enjoying our local music scene and getting out to enjoy our beautiful locality. We especially enjoy getting to share our space with others. Arroyo Grande is a very special place.
