Where you’ll be

Crossville, Tennessee, United States

There are only nine houses on the lake. The Treehouse sits on over seven acres. You will have a neighbor to the left that also has a rustic cabin and several across the lake. We love that most days you pretty much have the entire lake to yourself. We also love the feeling that we are somewhere nestled deep in the woods, but only a short drive to anything to eat that our taste buds could long for. You are also close to several state parks, waterfalls, Aaron Tipons tasting winery, world class golfing, and Fairfield Glade. The Treehouse is also less than an hour to Knoxville TN, one hour and fifteen minutes to Nashville's Music Row or the Grand Ole Opry. The cabin is located an hour and fifteen minutes to Chattanooga TN where you can spend a day taking in Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Discovery Museum, or the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

I am a professional vocal coach, music teacher, and performing drummer. Lauren Alaina was a vocal student and I was featured on season ten American Idol with Lauren's homecoming show. I have toured and played professionally with several well known artists, Stella Parton, Tommy and Johnny Cash, B.B.King, Vickie Winans, and many more. Cheryl was a professional touring photographer for over three decades. She has some very well known clients, and has taking pictures of people and nature in every state but Hawaii. She is working on several coffee table books showcasing pictures of favorite places and wildlife throughout America. The little cabin came into existence because we wanted a second place close to Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville TN where we could go to escape the hustle fast paced lifestyle, a muse for creativity. So after lots of googling, finding a local sawmill, sweat, and volunteered help, the hand built Treehouse Cabin was born. When you visit, you will see it's always a work in progress. In fact, we joke that now we don't put one wall up that is not screwed in because next week we may decide to move it. True southern ladies prerogative right? Many of the artist, family, and friends who have visited over the years, said they felt like they had stepped back in time at the Treehouse. They said it was nice to have everything needed, but with all the charm of truly staying rustic. Their continuing expressions of "so and so needs to see this place," has helped with our decision to open it up to guests. When on vacation my family and I usually find ourselves exploring some national or state park and have stayed in cabins throughout the country, living our love for nature. We trust you love the Treehouse as much as we do.
