This is the second time my husband and I have stayed in this charming cottage. We absolutely loved our time here. We love the setting--lots of trees--and the closeness to Forest Park for hikes. Downtown is also just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
I absolutely loved staying here. In fact, I almost didn't want to write a review because I want to come back and don't want the place all booked up! The cottage is simply charming. I am a person who loves trees and the outdoors and the setting of the cottage was so lovely, and Forest Park was a very accessible walk from the house. Amy was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She was also open to my suggestion to add a towel holder in the bathroom and went out immediately and bought one and installed it. Likewise, she purchased two night lights. Stubbs the dog is darling. He will come to the living room window and peek in and will greet you as you come and go.
Amy and Chris are thoughtful and accommodating hosts - we are so pleased we got a chance to know them. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay an additional month. The location is a beautiful and conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from the best stretch of shopping and restaurants that down-town Portland has to offer. The guest house is warm, cozy and had everything we needed to make it a home away from home. The kitchen offers a full size gas oven, fridge, washer and dryer with plenty of counter space for cooking. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the linens are soft as can be. The space was just perfect for the two of us.
Another amazing stay in this beautiful guest cottage! Smooth communication, lovely surroundings, well-stocked kitchen, and country-in-the-city location. This host and space are what AirBnB is all about! Thank you, Amy and Chris!
Splendid experience all around. We managed wonderfully without a car. Number 20 bus zips you into downtown in minutes. Ask Amy about safe option crossing Burnside to get the inbound bus. Bed and couch are both very comfortable. It's a beautiful place- quiet, very clean, and beautifully appointed. Very highest recommendation!
Amy’s cottage was wonderful! It was a perfect size with everything you might need (like a hair dryer, olive oil, etc.) The home is in a beautiful, quiet area that made sleeping well VERY easy! Bonus – Stubbs the dog is a super sweet greeter! The bus that stops nearby goes straight into downtown and made it easy to get around without a car (although I did rent a car for a day for some farther out journeys.) I wasn’t able to meet Amy but felt very at home and well taken care of during my stay. Amy was a great communicator and super accommodating as I was able to drop my stuff off before the cottage was ready. Thanks for a great experience. Highly recommend!
Amy's home is a great place to stay in Portland.! The description of this warm, cozy cottage is spot on! It's close to Forest Park and Pittock Mansion for those interested in sight seeing must do's in Portland. It's also a short trip down the hill to all the shops and eateries off of NW 23rd.
We were in OR to visit friends and family and were never too far away from anyone or anyplace which left us with more time to spend with everyone.
Amy's reminders and directions for check-in were invaluable and she was readily available for any questions or concerns. She was thoughtful and considerate in helping to prepare for our arrival and departure. We felt very welcomed!
We highly recommend booking with Amy and can't wait to stay there again on our next trip to OR.
Thank you for everything Amy!
I'm an educator and my husband is in the lumber business. We're originally from California but have made Portland our home for over a decade. We feel lucky to live in such a beautiful, vibrant place! We treat our guests the way we like to be treated, giving them all the privacy they're looking for but being available to answer questions or give suggestions about places to go and things to do in the area.
For an additional fee, our teenage son is available to run errands for you-- grocery shopping, bringing back take out, etc.
